What are you all up to today?
Well... I'm nosy! Spill!
As for me, I'm determined that next year's biking won't be so rubbish as this year. So I'm starting early...

So far, the innards of my helmet have been in a bowl of soapy water and are drying nicely in the airing cupboard, the battery is in the conservatory hooked up to a trickle charger in a desperate attempt to revive it, and my visors are lovely and spotless for the first time in months. I've even had a scrub of my summer boots... why oh why did I have to buy silly blingy white ones?

Re: What are you all up to today?
I've been at court (jury duty) today, got home and then lent my motor bike boots and black gaffa tape to my neighbour so he can dress up as a cowboy ( with tinfoil spurs) now I am at work doing some overtime (waiting on someone else in a far off land at the moment).
Hoping to get home soonish though as i'm playing golf at St Andrews tomorrow which should be nice if a bit cold.

Re: What are you all up to today?
Success! Cost me £40-odd for a new battery but the bike fired up like a good'un. Only a little thing, I know, but there was a nagging doubt in the back of my head that draining the battery had done bad things to the alarm/immobiliser.
She's booked in next Saturday for an MOT, and I'm expecting her to probably stay there for a few days while they strip and restore one of the callipers, and most likely change the exhaust headers. Fingers crossed that's all she'll need!

Re: What are you all up to today?
Mostly today I was a Nottinghamshires Poppy Appeal launch.
The weather was "bracing" roads were a bit damp and greasy, but all in all not a bad day.

Re: What are you all up to today?
Wanted to go for a longer ride, but had to settle for 6 miles - to the shops and back.
Was 5 deg C behind the fairing, the heated grips have packed up for the 5 or 6th time in just over a year and the bike has caught a real nasty cold. Battled to start and is only running on 3 cylinders :( Oh and it started raining as I set off - not quite what I'd call a good day

Re: What are you all up to today?
Har de har I'm trying to fix the stupid little velco zip puller thing, which I managed to rip off last year. Superglue isn't doing the trick though. Ah well screw it, it can stay broken.

Re: What are you all up to today?
even more of a reason to go shopping for new boots ;-) would mean having to break them in by riding the bike even more to get "used" to them...real shame LOL

Re: What are you all up to today?
Slept till 4.30pm
proper stiffed with nightshift last night, I forgot that the clocks went back, so was loving the fact I ended up doing a 13 hour shift.
back on nights again tonight for another 12 hours, still off till thursday as of 8am, whoop whoop!!
My Cat hasnt moved for ages now, think I gave it the deep clean a bit too early and I'm loathed to take it out in this shitty weather.

Re: What are you all up to today?
Neither has mine, been swamped with work for the last three weeks.
Last run the bike got was an unplanned trip to Inverness after I forgot I needed to change the rear brake pads on the car.
By the time I remembered, all the motor factors were closed and I didn't have time to do it the next morning, before the Job.
Glad I did take it though, even though it was a Sunday, some low loaders had taken advantage of the 'light' traffic on the A9 to shift some heavy plant.
At one point I whipped past a queue of at least 150 cars doing 20mph.
I thought I'd be in bits by the time I got home, but I was ok.
(Stopped for a smoke at the House of Bruar and tooky a piccy)
