Bishops Castle 4, Shropshire & Wales Rideout Saturday May 26th 2012
First topic message reminder :
An open discussion please guys & gals on who is likely to be interested in next years BC.
After much deliberation & peeps asking so they can book holidays off work, build up enough Brownie points etc a date of Saturday 26th May has been decided for BC4, There were a number of reasons for this inc avoiding Bank holidays, BC's own local events & not least 'cos its the gaffers (Ellie ) birthday on Saturday
As usual the ride will be centered around Shropshire & Wales & peeps are welcome to join for just the rideout or to B&B/camp for both the Friday & Saturday nights with food in the local hostelries which will be announced in due course.
B&B's are aplenty & most will take a booking in advance without requiring payment untill the weekend in question so its always a good idea to book early as last year it got very busy with a local wedding taking up some of the B&B's we normally use.
Below is a link to the main places to stay all within easy walking distance & please just ask if I can offer any help or advice, The Claremont also have as well as B&B a property which can be shared by a number of peeps who may wish to reduce costs by sharing & if I remember correctly a garage they have allowed us to use for the bikes in the past.
Thanks Nick

Back save and sound, just waiting for ChrissEddie to get from Yorkshire on my Thundercat...it has been a busy weekend.
Cheers to all involved with special thanks to Nick, Ellie and Stevecat in particular.
Some great roads, and fun inbetween all the action!
Review and pics will take a few days, I have quite a bit of material!

I've just got back all safe, minus another first aid incident on the way home near gloucester , stop in a layby for a quick drink of water, theres a half marathon going on where we are i walk down the road to have a look and this bloke keeled over in front of me on the road into a hedge....
An hr later with the help of 4 saint johns staff he was conscious and human again!
Had a great first ride out loved all of it, minus the misshaps. Big Big thanks to nick and ellie for organising it and everyone who turned up making it an awesome weekend!

Re: Bishops Castle 4, Shropshire & Wales Rideout Saturday May 26th 2012
Home safe but my bike is (again) being recovered home as when it was knocked over it broke the foot peg off.
On the upside, my kids have organised a picnic in the sun and a paddle in the stream, so gonna go chill for a bit.

I'm home too. Another great weekend. Nick , get that weather booked for next year!! Although I doubt we'll top the weather we had ever again!A few ups and downs along the way but most enjoyable as usual. Cheers nick Ellie and Steve for managing/organising the run. Finally hit the 620 mile mark so got to play a bit on the way home!! Apologies for not being very chatty last night, think the heat totally done me in. Was great to meet the usual crowd again and also well done to the new peeps that came along. Hope you all come back for more!!

Tel, that bottle of red I was gonna give you.... Sorry mate it's getting arsed shortly , I'll let you know how it tasted!!

Re: Bishops Castle 4, Shropshire & Wales Rideout Saturday May 26th 2012
Late logging in. Got back about 16:30.
I'm showered and fed and the bike's had a clean - just a light wipe down rather than the complete deep-clean required after WeeMac. Don't know how you arranged the weather Nick and Ellie (no doubt some help from The Sun Queen?!), but you're now officially in charge of the weather for all future ride-outs.
These weekends are invariably good, but this one was exceptional! Thanks to all who attended it was great to meet up with the some regulars and a whole bunch of newbies. I hope, despite (or maybe because of), the incidents during the day you'll be back for more. I look forward to catching up with some of you again.
A big thanks to Nick and Ellie for making it all possible. SteveCat did sterling work as tail ender. Thank you for that.
I've just read through the Klitcat thread properly for the first time. Everything now makes sense! I'm waiting for the photos and the sound of countless pennies dropping.
Thanks to Snowcat and Cheshirecat for riding down to BC with me. Sorry for the immediate cock-up on the navigation front. Apologies to Brian too, but as wonderfully demonstrated by Ross - it happens soooooo easily. Thanks to YZFJohn for the first section of the ride up from BC. Yes I was in the wrong lane!
I hope Nick can let us know the latest on the major incident. Perhaps best if we wait until the wife's finished with him, before issuing congratulations on getting off lighly!
Can't wait for the photos and video. Can't wait to do it all again.
Cheers,
Chris

Tony looked a bit surprised he was given a fry up instead of the 'light salad' he ordered!

Well what a weekend
A huge thanks to everyone who put the effort in to attend this year, A few special mentions, My partners in crime Ellie & Radar, Stevecat for his sterling job of TEC, The Scottish scousers for fooling us all & stopping to help Ellie this morning when stricken on the side of the road, To Eddie990 for playing catch the leader at each incident & last but not least to everyone who went out of their way to help Mark at his accident [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
I called in to visit Mark on my way home & remarkably he is doing a very good walking wounded act with a few big purple bruises & has asked me to pass on his & his wifes thanks too.
You are all a bunch of stars, every single one of you [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
