My winter project.
First topic message reminder :
Hi I'm not sure if this is the place to do this but here goes. I bought my cat about a week ago and have enjoyed getting to grips with it
I'm going to hang on until the weather gets too bad to ride with confidence and then start the job of bringing the bike back to tip top condition :whoop:
I'll put some pics up once I have worked out how to get them off my phone
So keep checking and please comment if you think I'm going wrong anywhere.

Re: My winter project.
Very nice....job well done.
For number plate illumination I think you need a white light but I remember greencat and eddie990 had ninja's with a tiny white led that didn't actually light it up but was enough to be mot'able and road legal.
I'm sure they'll be along to clarify.
Cheers

Re: My winter project.
I put an aftermarket LED numberplate light into the Daytona's rear light for MOT, I flush mounted it into the light housing.

Re: My winter project.
The tail-tidy I had on the Ninja had a built in single white LED. Doesn't sound like it was very effective , but it passed two MOT' s. Number plate illumination and a red reflector on the rear (usually fixed to the plate) is, I believe, required.
BTW excellent job and a fantastic thread. Thanks for posting it.

Re: My winter project.
What? Where? erm, yes.
You looking for a day ride Dave or an overnighter?
There were threats of us invading the Isle of Wight, not sure if the advance party have been over yet to suss it out.

Re: My winter project.
I've only just seen this thread, sat here for two hours reading and looking at the pics, what you have done is amazing....
Where did you get your indicators from and how did you fit them to fairings?
Lovely Bike can't wait to see it in the flesh....

Just saying hello.. I hope to meet up with some of you this year on a ride out ;0)
Re: My winter project.
Looks good, does that. Those colours remind me of my old Thundercat - very similar but I had mine done with dayglo orange powder coated wheels. I do miss it.

Bought some Genmar bar risers
Got them today and fitted them, they are so easy to fit and can't wait to ride it to see the difference
I got them from johnny rockers speed shop on ebay and for ebay sellers they are great I highly recommend them.
I'll let you know if they are worth the £100 after a good ride but the quality of the machining is very good and you would not know you have raised the bars up and back:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

I was wondering what the hell you were talking about until I got to this bit:
I take it you just got some bar risers then?!

Re: My winter project.
Errr?? Thread title Yes I did buy some and they are great. I just takes that extra bit of pressure off your wrists I would say they are worth the money.
Re: My winter project.
I was baffled myself, not many people retitle their posts and hadn't spotted the Genmar Risers bit.
Hell of a job mate and definitely best thread ever.
