First topic message reminder :
Here's a list of those who've expressed interest or confirmed they will be joining the ToL this year. :whoop:
If you wish to be added to the list please post up in the main ToL thread.
This is the venue - the same as last year.
I have booked all 8 twin rooms for the Friday and Saturday nights. A deposit of £12.50 per person will secure a bed for the two nights, or £25 to secure a room. The full cost is £36 pppn B&B
Unfortunately if the you can't make it and I can't re-let the place then I won't be able to refund the deposit - venue rules I'm afraid.
That said, I hope places will be over-subscribed. If that happens I'll post up details of local B&B's - there are several. So far several are staying at The Claremont Guest House
Here is a link to camp sites in Woodhall Spa - Woodhall Country Park Camp Site is closest (next door) and being used by some members.
The venue has an excellent restaurant and they have provisionally booked us 16 places for each night. Please let me know if you want me to book you in for dinner. The place is popular so I will have to confirm numbers several weeks before and you will need to pre-order your food. Special diet options are available.
If there are any mistakes in the table below my apologies, but please let me know.
Cheers,
Chris

Re: ToL 2011 Sign up
Just arrived home - soaked.
My scenic route didn't go to plan and ended starting to go round in a large arc where upon I came across another ToL rider trying to get thier SatNav working on their iPhone - Sorry Ross I picked up your Beatch! Yes it was John (espaceman) - what were the chances of that?

Re: ToL 2011 Sign up
I got home about 10 minutes ago. I only got mildly moist - a bit of light rain through Grantham and Melton Mowbray but it cleared up by Leicester and was dry all the way home (although the roads here are very wet).
Great weekend, once again - can't wait to see the pictures (well, most of them...).

Re: ToL 2011 Sign up
I'm back home safely, too.
Slightly wet between the M180 and M18, and the guys (Supernaut, Delta Hotel, etc) stopped under a bridge to get the waterproofs on - I carried on to the services as I was bustin', so they went on ahead.....
And promptly picked them up again, thanks to becoming the leaders in a rolling roadblock organised by the Wombles on the M62. (Yes, I spotted the wave as I was coming off Chain Bar!)
Once again, thanks to Chris, Pete and Nige for the preparation, organising, and general "biker herding" required throughout the weekend, and I can honestly say I thoroughly enjoyed it all!
Cheers,

Nick forgot to add that a stray dog at the pub where we had lunch, stopped and sniffed my bike, strolled past it but then chose to cock it's leg on Nicks back wheel

Thanks to Chris, Pete and Nige for all the hard work, effort and thought that went into a really superb weekend, thanks to everyone else for the great company too, loved every minute of it.
Re: ToL 2011 Sign up
Sorry for late post,
Got home at about the same time as Pete n Fred . . . . got slightly soggy en-route (had words with the sun queen about that )
Picked doggies back up, watched MotoGP highlights, cracked a "recovery" tube . . . .org don't do a ride-out recovery (but if they did it'd come in a green tin )
Had a snoop around the forum playing catch up . . . . noted the nominations in another topic get around to them later
Thanks to Chris for the organization of ToL was a fantastic weekend. Well done Pete (the unsung hero back-marker).
T'was great to see you all and meet new faces/members too . . . Oh, and The Freshman speech was classic ~ what an outstanding wind up

1 dry and 1 soaked !!!!
Yes abit late for us posting up i know.
Didnt get away till just after 11 as the fine rain started then ^&%sed it down the closer we got to the A1.
Thanks to all for a cracking couple of days company and our blessing to the re-furbished Duke for leading our party.
Could'nt of been a rideout without some work done by the 3 amigo's (Chris, Nige and our man at the rear, Pete)
Steve, well it could of been worse but glad you still enjoyed the day.
From us both, many many thanks again.
Rob & Linz

Re: ToL 2011 Sign up
Another great ToL weekend!
Thanks Chris for all the organising and the Reccie team (Chris, Terry, Nige & Pete) for finding all those good roads.
Steve - I'm glad you are ok after the incident and hope the repairs are easy and cheap.
Mechy - I don't care what the others say I enjoyed our special time together when the marker's made an ASS of U and ME.
I loved how you (the back marker) and I managed to get to point D on the map before the rest of the pack. I loved it almost as much as later in the day when the group was making good progress and the roads were flowing and I was overtaken by the Greencat whom I thought was leading. This surprised me almost as much as Cards who marked a 90 degree blind left hander 10 yards through the corner.
Espaceman - I don't care what the others say I enjoyed our special time together.
I'll get some pics (& video) uploaded sometime soon.
Cheers
Rosco

I ditto the above thanks , another great weekend Cheers to everyone involved.
As for Chris overtaking us - I thought perhaps he'd already been round the route once already and was lapping us
And Ross , I think the others were very jealous of us - as we were so obviously in love :bounce:

Wait for the guy with the orange bib on!
Well everyone, thanks for another memorable weekend!
Sorting it out has been fun, but if no one attended it would be a complete waste of time. And it certainly wasn't that!
A brief explaination of the marker system was given at the start of the day. Many of us have ridden this system before and there were lots of sagely nods when asking if everyone understood. Of course once underway if it can go wrong it will go wrong and, boy, did it go wrong! Less than 50 mins into the day and here's the effect the group had had on our poor back marker.
Enjoy!
It certainly lightened up my day whilst wondering where the heck everyone had gone.
Be warned contains colourful language.
