Bishops Castle 3, 18th June 2011
First topic message reminder :
BC3 is scheduled this year for Sat 18th June, As usual the weekend will start on Fri (17th) with a few light refreshments & I will be making arrangements in the near future for the meals on both nights for those who wish to join us. Anyone wanting to do just the ride on the Sat will be welcome too
The ride will once again be centred on Wales with a new route heading further North this time into the beautiful Snowdonia mountains.
Everyone is most welcome & accomodation is readily available with a quick google search among Bishops Castles many B&B's
Radar & I will be finalising details over a pint in the next few weeks
Many thanks for your attendance on the previous BC rides which have had a fantastic atmosphere due to the superb members on here.
Any questions please feel free to ask

Re: Bishops Castle 3, 18th June 2011
Excellent recce chaps, fingers crossed for some good weather now
Re: Bishops Castle 3, 18th June 2011
I could have stayed out on the North Wales roads all day, that is some playground for bikes for sure, simply one great road leading straight to the next.
If the weather is ok this years BC has potential to be the best yet.
Many thanks to all those making the long journeys to join us in June, You won't be disappointed.

Re: Bishops Castle 3, 18th June 2011
right, looks like i'm sorted, they have a bunkhouse at the foxholes site , bed only for £10 a night, and at the moment its not booked , so im going to book that, saves carrying a tent and its somewhere dry if i need to hang stuff up.
worse that can happen is i end up sharing with some random stranger lol, but as no ones booked yet , its probably unlikely.
thought it was worth posting incase anyone else is srtuggling, as all the accom in BC is full.
on a side note, apparently both the driveway , and carpark are loose chippings, and theres a huge possibility that being tiny, and a complete newbie, i may get stuck and have to play the damsel in distress( doesnt come naturally , but can do it at a push). so offers of help, and mobile numbers from any of you really helpful guys staying at the site wold be much appreciated...worse case scenario i might bottle it and want someone to ride the bike in for me, and same getting it back out

Re: Bishops Castle 3, 18th June 2011
With just two weeks to go till BC & I managed to haul my ever growing backside out of bed to get up at the crack of dawn today to be in Shropshire before breakfast.
I met up with a mate & we did a final recce of the route finalising the comfort stops etc.
Fingers crossed for some decent weather like today & we should be sorted.
I'm aching in places that I didn't know could ache right now & have a sore backside from 398 miles in the saddle

Thanks for taking one for the team Nick.
It might hurt but I bet you still enjoyed it. (said the actress to the bishop's castle) - get your private nurse to attend to it.
Fingers crossed for good weather. But will be there even if it snows.
Cheers
