I’ll be in Crete, otherwise I’d be there as this is like a home fixture for me.

I'm looking at start and finish locations just north of Oxford. But open to offers if anyone has a better alternative.

Re: 6 October ?
If there’s a recce on, I’d like to join in if I am free.
How about Burford as a base? Lots of accommodation and pubs, access to Cotswolds, easy to get to.

I was only thinking this afternoon "I must invite Weasley when I do a recce", so I'll try to remember. I may or may not also include Martin, tho' he does apparently have a more reliable bike these days....

I’m a lot fitter these days, I might be able to push his bike all the way round.

Not a bad suggestion. Plenty of old-style hotels/pubs but also a Travelodge on the A40 roundabout, which might suit some better. And there's a Starbucks on the same site (it was a Little Chef until very recently) with a decent-sized car park, which would be a good meeting point.
So unless anyone comes up with a better suggestion I'll plan the route around that - OK?

I'm not seeing very much interest in this so far.
So please post if you want to come along, otherwise I'll postpone it until another time.

Re: 6 October ?
Hey guy's, sorry for such a long hiatus from the forums.
I'd love to attend this ride but.....I'll be getting turned into a cooked lobster in Portugal on the 10th until the 22nd.
If people are in the area (I work in Moreton-in-Marsh) keep an eye out for the 'Cat!

Yep, been up there and had a meal with the glacier in the background. Had a walk through the mountain until the route was blocked by ice and a quick snowball fight with Ewan too ( I won ).

Re: 6 October ?
Well, after due consideration, in view of the low numbers that want to come along, and the absence of several 'regulars' due to other commitments, I've decided to postpone this run until the autumn.
I'm looking at either 29th Sept or 6th October, so if either of those suits you (Sir or Madam), please post so I can decide which.
Apologies if this has messed with anyone's arrangements, but I hope you'll understand my reasoning.
Sits back and waits to be overwhelmed by the avalanche of participants.......

Re: 6 October ?
6th might be a possible date for me to book 'off' of work for the day.
I'll chuck this into the Yamaha Thundercat Group on Facebook to see if we can get a few more 'Cats along.
