Low fuel light indicator
Hi Guys,I managed to fix the not working low fuel light sender,it cost me around 50 pounds including labour.
Would like to know from someone who have the light working:
How many miles left of fuel I'll have after the lights appear on the dash?
Tks.

Re: Low fuel light indicator
I've done 20 miles after the light came on. But with yours being re-worked I wouldn't guarantee that you would get the same.

Re: Low fuel light indicator
I've had up to 38 miles after the light came on, although I think I was running mostly on willpower by the end.

Re: Low fuel light indicator
You could always use a match to see how much is still in the tank when it comes on.
It's a 19 litre tank and the light should come on when there's 3.1 litres left (it looks far less if you look in the tank...without a match. )
How many miles you get from 3 litres depends on how you ride it and the roads you're on, but you should be able to work it out roughly for yourself.

Re: Low fuel light indicator
Weasley isn't far off what I'd get on regular riding myself..in fact it's almost spot on.
I was working it out on about 200 miles from a full tank to the light (I've had well under 140 when belting it all day)
200/16 = 12.5 miles per litre (=37.5 miles on reserve)
(...in old money that's about 56mpg.)
