Re: BC-7 - The Welsh Beast
There seems to be quite a few B&B's dotted around, where are people staying so far? I'd like to book within the main cluster with everyone rather than wound up on the outskirts miles away!
Cheers

Re: BC-7 - The Welsh Beast
TT Mark and I are in The Somerset but I think he got the last room, there's plenty to go at round there, just check on Booking.com for ones with secure parking as quite a few seem to be public paid car parks or phone the hotel prior to booking.mrfrance wrote:There seems to be quite a few B&B's dotted around, where are people staying so far? Re: BC-7 - The Welsh Beast
Can we have some details of where and when to meet for the Saturday rideout please.
Re: BC-7 - The Welsh Beast
Yeah sorry Bryan, what with the new venue & all that, we will be leaving North Parade (sea front) Llandudno at 9am, if we can be all fully fuelled as it will be a good few miles to the first fuel stop.

Re: BC-7 - The Welsh Beast
Didn't fancy having to leave that early Sat morning so I booked myself in to the Alexander Hotel for Friday night. What's everyone up to?
Re: BC-7 - The Welsh Beast
We will be meeting in The Palladium (Wetherspoons) upon arrival, not sure what time I can get off work until Friday but hope to be in there by 6pm.
Spoonies is a bit of a free for all so if the first peeps in there can try to grab some tables & keep adding to them as they become free I'd appreciate it.
We can eat as & when & those arriving late will be given preference of a table if we are limited so that they can eat, I'm sure it will all work out & will be a great laugh as usual

Re: BC-7 - The Welsh Beast
I will probably be getting there about 19:00 and will get settled the head to spoonies for a classic burger and cappuccino.
What you guys arranged for parking? Don't think my hotel has private or secured parking.

Re: BC-7 - The Welsh Beast
We've swapped B&B now & will be parking ours on their front yard, having been in the area recently we are confident it's reasonably safe, as safe as the pub car park we used to use in Bishops Castle anyway!
I think on street parking isn't too bad either if you avoid the sea front & near the pubs.

Re: BC-7 - The Welsh Beast
Hopefully I'll be there mid afternoon to early evening so will hopefully get a space in the rear carpark which will take a few bikes if lucky.

That would be great mate, I'm leaving earlier than I thought so I should be there mid afternoon also.

Re: BC-7 - The Welsh Beast
Been down it a few times recently from the Chester end, not seen any fixed cameras that I was aware of? It will defo be a big target for mobile cameras so good advice regardless Mark.

Re: BC-7 - The Welsh Beast
Ahhh, NO Mechy going? Gee-wiz. That's a dilemma now!
Me and Linz won't be down now I'm afraid to say for this Saturday. Now that the weather looks like it's no rain at the weekend too, it's a bit of a gut wrenched moment for us.
Plus we have a little man on antibiotics too for tonsillitis.
