Parking ticket...
Hi guys! I was parked up in Leicester last week for about 5 days and a couple of nights altogether, in the same place. It wasn't until Saturday that I got a parking ticket, which, as you can imagine annoyed me... a lot.
I just wondered your opinion on it, as I'm not sure whether to appeal or not? I've added a picture of where my bike was parked. Oh, there are double yellow lines on the road, but I'm not exactly obstructing anything?

Re: Parking ticket...
Might be hard to appeal. If that was in London it would have been a no quibble fine as it is illegal to park on the pavement, I don't know the circumstances in Leicester.
Another pedantic point is your bike is overhanging the yellow line, my understanding is no part of a vehicle can cross the line not only the tyre.

Re: Parking ticket...
Roadside parking restrictions include the pavement. You might get some help over at Pepipoo and if you're up for a fight then try and find if the appropriate traffic regulation orders are in place with dotted i and crossed t, that the road markings meet the letter of the law and so on.

Re: Parking ticket...
Only parking ticket I've had was in Leicester was outside my daughter's Uni house, tried to appeal but failed so £35 poorer.
BTW Leicester parking prices are a lot cheaper than around here.

Re: Parking ticket...
Appeal anyway , if you win , no costs , if you loose is the same price but you get longer to pay as it's suspended until appeal has been decided
