Bishops Castle 6 -master list.
First topic message reminder :
Can I ask peeps to take a look at the marker drop off system to familiarise themselves with it please, the link can be found at the top of the BC6 thread.
As we are a large group we will be again using the two marker & two tail end Charlie variation.
I need to reiterate again that each rider is responsible for themselves & is to ride at their own risk & within the law. The organiser cannot be held responsible for each individual.
That's the disclaimer bit done so let's have a great weekend guys & girls.
Any questions please fire away
Bishops Castle Six is scheduled to be held over the weekend of Friday 6th & Sat 7th June 2014 (to coincide with the Isle of Man TT which the Boars kindly record for us to watch on the large screen TV) with the rideout on the Saturday heading onto the Welsh Tarmac that has become customary.
The Boars Head (Pink Palace) will again be our destination for the Friday evening meal & drinks, Saturday night to be confirmed as yet but I will be trying to book the Three Tuns again as Tim & his staff have done a superb job over previous years.
Below is a list of the majority of the accommodation available along with the usual Camping/ Bunkhouse/ Caravan & Eco Cabin at the Foxholes camp site, Also new for next year are Wooden camping pods at the Kings Head pub in the centre of BC although I believe only two of the five pods are still available.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
I don't need to know any specific numbers of attendees at this stage but would recommend booking up B&B places sooner rather than later due to demand, many places require no deposit to confirm your place in the town centre.
We look forward to seeing faces old & new.
Cheers Nick

Re: Bishops Castle 6 -master list.
You'd mentioned earlier that space was a premium at the Three Tuns and they struggled last year due to the numbers. I've spoke to a couple of other attendees and they will be happy to form a breakaway group still attending the three tuns etc for all the shenanigans but getting something to eat elsewhere at the local takeaway. Shall I start a separate thread to see if there's any takers just to relieve some of the pressure on the main venue?

Re: Bishops Castle 6 -master list.
I'm sure Tim will squeeze us all in, I know Nicks emailed him and awaiting a reply.
There is a takeaway and an Indian and I see this year the Boars Head are doing takeaway pizza.
The foods excellent at the Three Tuns but not the cheapest.
I'll have a chat with the old man tonight when he's home from work and let you know.

Yeah just let me know Ellie. As prime and myself arrived late last year we had no choice but to sample the local takeaway fair and to be honest we were impressed. Just a thought anyway

Re: Bishops Castle 6 -master list.
I may be dropping out of this :( I've had to get rid of the Ace and buy a more practical machine, which I don't know if it can be pushed yet (as it's in bits... so somewhat less practical for now).
I'll update in a few weeks hopefully...

Re: Bishops Castle 6 -master list.
Haha that would be practical for my 120 mile a day commute! It's a 1991 suzuki gsx750f, I picked it up for £600 and with only 32k on the clock... needs a tiny amount of work done but other than that seems a pretty good buy. Going to have it wrapped etc. so should look half decent by the time I'm finished... but it's still so dull in comparison to the ace :'(

@ Snowcat,
Steve that's a fairly good suggestion, as numbers are at the moment it's not an issue, let's see how it goes once the menu requests are needed

Re: Bishops Castle 6 -master list.
Lol @Ellie, mine and Nick's bikes are looking very similar right now all except the headlight and sprockets... the gsx is cracking to work on (has a centre stand).
And yes Mark, you're right it doesn't matter how it looks, but it's still not the kind of bike to make you push it either, which is perhaps why it is in good condition.
Really looking forward to seeing Nick's bike in the flesh, they are handsome machines!
