Taste of Lincolnshire 2013
First topic message reminder :
The Taste of Lincolnshire Rideout 2013 will take place on 7th September 2013
This is the 10th annual Lincolnshire rideout
For 2013 we return to The Village Limits at Woodhall Spa.
Cost is ₤40 pppn B&B.
The accommodation and food are great!
I have reserved 4 twin rooms for the Friday and Saturday nights.
If you want to reserve a place please post up or send me a PM.
Please see the separate Sign Up page for details of who's coming and where they're staying.
There are more rooms available at The Village Limits and there's B&B, camping and caravan accommodation in Woodhall Spa.
Here's some alternative accommodation, there are many more places to stay in Woodhall Spa:
B&B accommodation:
The Claremont Guest House
The PitchAway B&B
The Vale Guest House
Hotels:
The Petwood Hotel
The Golf Hotel
Self catering accommodation:
The HideAway
Camping, Caravaning & 'Sky' lodges:
Woodhall Country Park
Petwood Caravan Park
The route has been drafted, but this year will be entirely within Lincolnshire.
200miles of Lincolnshire's finest roads and quite a few hills! Believe it or not there are some parts we still haven't visited!
We'll also visit some interesting places and invite you to have a real taste of Lincolnshire and sample the local food.
Tastes of Lincolnshire is the marketing campaign for food producers in Lincolnshire. Now, if you do an image search on Google you'll find pictures of food and plenty of pictures of bikes and site members on previous Taste of Lincolnshire rideouts!
Hope to see you on the 6/7th.
Cheers,
Greencat (Chris)

Re: Taste of Lincolnshire 2013
All, unfortunately due to the imminent house move, my Saturday TOL ride out will have to be cancelled and the time spent getting things more boxed and ready for the transfer later this month.
Sorry I can't be there but will hopefully catch up with some of you later this year Willy Woods? or back at Selkirk in 2014. Ride safe and have fun. I will be

Very grey and drizzly over Notts way , looking grey but getting lighter looking eastwards towards Newark, Nick. Maybe (hopefully) it'll clear up as you head towards ToL accomm for you and Ellierobertcains wrote:Absolutely chucking it down in Derbyshire, has been all day, hopefully it will give over soon
Gutted for you mate. Hope your move goes smoothly . . . We used to hate the upheaval every 3 or so yearsRich wrote:All, unfortunately due to the imminent house move, my Saturday TOL ride out will have to be cancelled

Re: Taste of Lincolnshire 2013
Ya lemon.
As Linz and others have said, it was a grand day's riding on Saturday. Best TOL route so far and a hard one to beat, so best of luck for next year Chris with that one. Suppose being its '10th' anniversary it had to be good.
Nice to have the safe banter with Pete once again, even though he had go faster stripes on his bike and it did make a difference, that's for sure.
So for a thundercat meeting, only 2 turned up. Shame really as its the bike that has mostly brought us all to know each other really.
I do recommend an R1 though if your 2 up, just to keep up with you guys on 600's, there good.

Re: Taste of Lincolnshire 2013
I would just like to say a huge thankyou to all that came to TOL,, you made it a great time and deserve a round of applause for an excellent rideout, i think it was very brave of you all to come out and get involved in a gay pride rideout !!!
Also a big thankyou to a certain married couple for being involved in both windups !!!!
What a great sport of Chris this morning as he really didnt have to ride the duke but did so anyway , and thankyou to him for again sorting everything out and inviting me along to help .
Have to say a certain persons lock up and slide at the zebra crossing in horncastle nearly made me fall off the bike laughing !!Was great to be blessed with the weather we did .
