ToL Sign-Up, Questions etc

First topic message reminder :

If you're thinking of coming along on the ToL 6, and especially if you've made definite arrangements, then please add a reply to this topic with a few brief details so I can co-ordinate numbers. Then I'll know approximately what size group we'll have and can sort out appropriate lunch stops etc.

I'll periodically post up a summary of responses to date.

You can also post any questions you have about the event and I'll do my best to answer them.

I had hoped the Wife would be with me for the TOL this year sadly she can't get the day off work, however it may be possible for her to attend the Sat evening do ?

Chris, at this moment in time I am also a major doubt.

Ever since BC my bike has been playing up. I've got big problems with the Alarm/Immobiliser which I can't seem to fix.

I am on holiday next week so I'm trying to get it sorted in time to get to TOL.

I'll keep you advised.

I havent signed up yet, (If I do it will only be for the Sat ) is there a planned route? what i mean by that is if I get lost, and it has been know to happen. Is there a link to something I can print out and keep with me, that would be cool.

It is highly unlikely you'll get lost, or if you do you will be in a group of people who are also lost! We use a tried and tested system of markers to keep the group together, or at least to make sure they end up at the same place, even if not at the same time. Besides, getting lost can be half the fun of the ride!

Just to add to what weasley has already said.

Yes there is a planned route (we don't make it up as we go ), don't think greencat has posted the map yet (or even if he intends to). The route has been reccied, and what a fine day out that was too.

Just be at the start point (Cross Keys in Grasby) early enough with a full fuel tank for a relaxed and fun filled day

I had hoped to do TOL but having just got back from taking the T Cat around Belgium, it appears to have done nothing for relationships with Mrs trafman. maybe Mrs trafman not being with me and us going out there in group of 3 males and 3 females was never going to go down that well. Four of our Belgium tour were couples the other female well,May be her being in her 20s slim and the tightest leathers and a Nurse did not help as well. All joking aside, it was 100% just mates but, i think if I go away 2 out of 3 weekends I aint going to have a garage to come back to, and there are two other bikes in there to go up in smoke even with the Cat away.

I hope you all have a great tour and the weather is kind to you, now I wonder if there are specialist Solicitors for biker, divorces, she can have the house I just want the Garage and contents lol
