ToL Sign-Up, Questions etc
First topic message reminder :
If you're thinking of coming along on the ToL 6, and especially if you've made definite arrangements, then please add a reply to this topic with a few brief details so I can co-ordinate numbers. Then I'll know approximately what size group we'll have and can sort out appropriate lunch stops etc.
I'll periodically post up a summary of responses to date.
You can also post any questions you have about the event and I'll do my best to answer them.
Cheers,
Chris
OK Suzie, here's where you get to show just how committed you are! In the psychiatric sense of course

Re: ToL Sign-Up, Questions etc
Nope sorry, don't know what's causing this sudden aversion to the ToL.
Mind you I've been very busy doing a little gardening DIY these past 4 days - hot and sweaty work. SWMBO has already complained, but that was due to lack of deodorant Maybe that's the problem?
Well Mechy and myself were out briefly over the weekend to pick one or two spots on route where he's promised to surprise you all! Not having a bike does terrible things to you. Be suitably impressed :cyclops: Girls - hang on to your handle bars!
So here's a few pics of some of the Wolds roads we'll be covering (in no particular order). However with the ever reducing numbers I wonder why I bother
Just one new member joining us will make it worth while - who's it gonna be?

To be serious for a moment. Here are the answers to the latest questions:
To see who is attending (at least as far as I know) see the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Saturday lunch is at The Plough Inn, Holbeach St Johns. Post up your choice from the menu Nige added to this thread.
Saturday evening meal is at The Cross Keys Pub, Grasby and here's the location. Menu can be viewed on their web site, but make your choice on the night.
Steve - sorry to hear you're not feeling too well. Wishing you a swift recovery and hope to see you at the next event.
Suzie - no need for advance notice of your dinner choice. Might be good to let me have your curry order then it should all be ready together when you go to collect. Thanks for helping out with that.
Oldcat & Arties Mill residents - Pete (mechy) will give 3 of you a lift to and from Grasby on Saturday night. I'll book a taxi for the other 2 - depart 19:00 return 23:30 Maybe you'd care to split the cost between you all and buy Pete a lemonade or maybe a Dubonnet?!
Anything else let me know.
Cheers, Chris

Re: ToL Sign-Up, Questions etc
Not been active for a little while but took the thunderace out for a little blast tonight out and around Harrogate and Wetherby to make sure the wheels still turn and the brakes still stop them turning! Got back and have a smile on my face so ready for a sore arse on Saturday due to the sheer number of miles I am going to have to cover.... I'll meet you all at the Grasby am but at the moment can't commit to the overnight stay, if I can I will have to do a laterooms.com and jump in a taxi and have a pastie on the way! Likewise for the lunch, I can quite happily sit and have a coke whilst you gorge...
Quick question though, what are you all doing with your stuff? I was going to pop jeans and t-shirt into a rucksack if stay over but won't be able to check into a hotel if I stay over until mid afternoon. I don't mind the rideout with it on my back but is there another option?
Cheers
Martin

Hi Chris
Heard from Cameron earlier. His radiator is goosed and the best part of £1000 to get fixed......ouch.
A few more hundred he could buy my radiator complete with bike attached
Therefore he and his +1 won't be coming either......
I'll still plan to meet Eddie990 on the his way down from Aberdoom.
Cheers

It's not that kind of meet Martin but I'm sure you'll still enjoy yourself
To answer your question I'm sure Greencat Chris will be able to store it for you or the people staying at the local pub in Grasby.

Sunday Run
Proposal for Sunday is a run up the Sherburn in Elmet in North Yorkshire to the Milk Bar - a popular bike meet.
Departure would probably be 10am from Brigg; a bit earlier from Grasby.
We can discuss this more over the weekend, or post up comments questions here.
Cheers
Chris

Re: ToL Sign-Up, Questions etc
Hi Paul,
If you're not arriving too late on Friday the Pete can also give you a lift to and from the pub that night aswell. Of course you're more than welcome to join us for a curry EET (estimated eating time 7:15) or alternatively pick something up in Brigg (be careful here!) and bring it with you to eat along with the rest of us. Your call.
Cheers,
Chris

Thanks Chris - I'm unsure now. I know Friday night is not the main event and thought I might just pop over after dinner at Artie's but now you're making a curry sound tempting.....
If a lift is possible and not in any way a faff, can I take this offer up? I expect to arrive somewhere around 4-5pm. Think you have my number, if not it's oh seven seven nine eight seven three eight oh three oh. If yours ends four six eight I have it.
You're a diamond, you are! And your family for putting up with us!
