Bishops Castle 5 2013 - Enter the Dragon

To allow time for you guys & gals to save beer tokens & build up enough Brownie points etc a date of Saturday 8th June has been decided for BC5.


As usual the ride will be centered around Shropshire & Wales & peeps are welcome to join for just the rideout or to B&B/camp for both the Friday & Saturday nights with food in the local hostelries which will be announced in due course.

B&B's are aplenty & most will take a booking in advance without requiring payment untill the weekend in question so its always a good idea to book early as last year it got very busy with a local wedding taking up some of the B&B's we normally use.

Below is a link to the main places to stay all within easy walking distance & please just ask if we can offer any help or advice, The Claremont also have as well as B&B a property which can be shared by a number of peeps who may wish to reduce costs by sharing & if I remember correctly a garage they have allowed us to use for the bikes in the past.

The Foxholes Camp site have a Bunk house, Static Caravan & Camping available.

Afraid I may have to miss this one as I'm away a few weeks later for Assen, brownie points would be at a premium though I probably would have got away with it a little earlier.

Very interested, although leave from work is at a premium these days so I may have to come up after work on the Friday evening.

Not sure Kev, I leave that side of it for bird to sort out, I think the Boars Head is full with Thundercat members already though, I think the Claremont is cheapest of the B&B's with the bunkhouse at the Foxholes offering the most cost effective sleep

What time and where do you all meet on friday afternoon?
if i cant get the week off ill have to travel up in the evening. A mate if mine has joined the forum yesterday, i told him to, hes got a silver n orange cat and would love to go too, iiaint sharing a tent with him tho lol
Also, how many are camping/staying at the foxholes? seems like a nice site

Some ride up on Friday afternoon, some in the evening & some on Saturday morning for the day, The main event is the ride on Saturday usually leaving BC at 8.30 to 9am, everything else is just a bonus & an excuse to sample the local brews.
Please feel free to do what suits you best, I will probably not arrive until after 5 or 6 on Friday myself & we will grab a beer & meal in the Boars Head

Myself and the better half will be attending. Get there about 6pm Friday.

Chris didn't snore last year so you should be OK Pete.

Canny do BC this year as I'm booking time off for another event which means I'll have to be at work when BC is on..
