First topic message reminder :

It is with a heavy heart that I have to tell you I have come off the Cat.

While on a rideout in Snake pass I hit a bit of oil on one of the bends near the end on the down hill section. The back wheel lost grip and the bike went for a low side but then decided to grip and flip, I was sent flying and stopped just short of the Armco. The Cat was not so luck and hit the Armco hard with the top of the bike. :( wall

I just don't have the words to express how gutted I am.

Well if all goes to plan and I get mine you're welcome to take it round the block mate on our next meet up, which by my reckoning will be BC as I won't make Wee Mac :(

Blades are ten a penny whereas your next one will be more unusual! left thumb up

Not harsh, just know what kids are like!

One thing I've learnt, I've put my life on hold for years for my children, who I love to the moon & back but when they get older, their life comes first and yours second, love them, treat them but never let them rule the roost! They'll still be OK & live a fulfilled life whatever decisions you make.

100% behind you there Ellie, its too easy to give in to kids and before you know it they're running the show, I try to be fair and let them think they're being treated like adults but ultimately its my way or the door, and to be honest I've got a freind who's partner let the kids have their own way for an easy life. Its sure biting her on the arse now .

That Blade does look nice ..

<tongue in cheek> why would you want a map on the bike where you are sitting on the best part of the route and the sections you would need a map are behind you? Laughing

It is unusual [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Same here, problem was my dad was worse than me so always one step ahead. They do often wonder how I always seem to be one step ahead of them, they'll learn when they're older Smile

To be honest the more powerful bikes are harder to fully exploit on the road, although I have enjoyed each of the blades I have rideen over the years.

The insurance have offered me £100 more than the top price I was looking for, so I will not be arguing. Maybe I could push for more but since I'm happy and could do with some cash I'm not.

Just hope I get a result now on the kit insurance.

Sorry to hear the bad news. As you've probably heard 1000 times, the bike is easily replaced, although emotional. At least you're ok!

Hope everything gets sorted soon.

Glad you're sorted with this John.

Please don't think this is a great way of upgrading your bike though. Shocked ..... And don't do it again!!!!

Good luck with the rest of the claim.
