Re: 20,000 miles
My bike has just covered 20,000 miles!! Well actually it's kilometres so only 12,000 really, still a milestone though as I've put half of that on in the last 9 months

Great tank range on the Thundercat!
Bike had 900 miles on it when I bought it, so the total is now just shy of 21,000 miles. Mind I have owned her 12 years, so my annual average is a bit pants!
In my defence I have also owned a CB250RS, 2xRD350, FZ600, XJR1300Sp and a FZ1S at various points over that time too!

Re: 20,000 miles
Congrats man.
I've had mine for 6 years and bought it with 8000 miles on it.
I put another 20,000 on it in the first two years but only 10 since then. :(
(I gradually had to carry more and more stuff for work, to the extent that I'm now thinking about buying an estate and even looked at Transits )
Luckily, they're pretty robust bikes and just keep on going with basic maintenance.

Re: 20,000 miles
I'm ashamed to say I've done less than 1000 miles on mine this year and he's done 10k in total. Mainly because of the time he's spent in bits in the garage grrr. On it like a car bonnet next year tho!
Re: 20,000 miles
Since June last year I have done about 18,000. Won't be riding through Winter this year, it has been too costly with tyres, maint., insurance, polish etc.
So my Cat was picked up with 6,500 and now she is on 24,### and I believe that makes her due for the valve clearance check. £££££
Been a lot of fantastic big grinning fun miles and I hope there are more next year.

Re: 20,000 miles
Mines just coming up to 30k. About 150 to go. 12k in 2 1/2 years. Not too bad.
Not done clearance check but it does sound rattly. Is it a DIY or mainstream job.

First part of an unplanned oil change took place near the end of surf & turf for some as yet unknown reason.
