Fuel!! Grrrrr!
First topic message reminder :
Ive had to put bloody Supreme Unleaded in my car today for work because of the muppets that are panick buying fuel and there's no normal unleaded left.
Ridiculous! And as much as I'd rather be sunning myself at home, I've had to go to work. Please England, return to normal! Lol.

Re: Fuel!! Grrrrr!
p.s. to get back On Topic...
What's happened to all the diesel bikes that were in development?
They're still as rare as a diesel car was in the USA 20 years ago.

Think I'm glad I have no idea what you're all on about - clout !!
Just passed a Tesco superstore garage and there are still long queues, so maybe the trick is go at 2am and hope there's still some left

I tried to champion the new diesel Cat last month but all she did was blow blue smoke out her pipes.
On topic I breezed into the garage today and filled the bike no probs, queues at some garages but not at others (same price too). Think we may be turning into Communist Russia where people see a queue and just join it

You have to wonder what (apart from a gallon of 5% proof beer) is going through the mindless gits head at the time they're doing it

You have to remember alcohol doesn't give you a split personality as some people believe, it merely relaxes your inhibitions making you more likely to do something you want to do anyway in sobriety but are too scared; i.e. these people are just mindless pricks waiting to happen!!0ldcat wrote::( Sorry to here that m8ellie wrote:and to make matters worse, some mindless tw+t decided to key my car last night on the way home from the pub. Re: Fuel!! Grrrrr!
Sorry to hear about your car Ellie.
On the fuel issue. Interested to know what folks habits are on filling up and if their habits have changed recently due to (shh....let's not panic)
I'll start - I hate queueing and hate wasting more time that I need to in Petrol Stations, I love clubcard points.
Car (company) - Let it go nearly empty < 50 miles (occasionally <5 although touch wood I've never ran out) and then think about where I can fill up (preferably enroute & defo to get my points).
Always fill it right up (diesel) being careful not to overfill it though.
Motorbike - Lot less range and I'm paying for every drop / mile. Since I try and remember to reset my trip counter I can work out roughly where I can get to enroute and will pick up my points enroute if possible.
Therefore I spend the least amount of time at Petrol stations and always go from nearly empty to full.
I must admit I broke the habit today when my car was only 1/4 full and I filled her up. In my defence there wasn't a queue there when I arrived or when I left.
Surely the queue's are caused by excessive visits to stations by people who wouldn't normally. i.e. Someone with my 'normal' habits changing to only ever letting my tank get 3/4 full and then filling up again.
That's 4 times more visits to fuel up than previously.
Interested to see how it all pans out. Hopefully it won't affect our Wee Mac trip too much. We might have to commandeer one pump and put set amount(s) in each bike. Who is gonna argue with 28 scary bikers?

Re: Fuel!! Grrrrr!
I always run from full to fumes car and bike. I did fill up when just under half as a completely deserted petrol station presented itself to me.
I will not queue...if I run out the worst that can happen is I have to work from home

Re: Fuel!! Grrrrr!
My other half snuck out at 5 0'clock this morning to get some fuel from our newly filled local garage as my car had less than a quarter of a tank in and I couldn't get fuel anywhere so thats a plus side
on the negative side we were gonna go for a nice bike ride this weekend with some mates but daren't cos we might get stuck somewhere wiv no fuel hate this country sometimes

I work from home and cabin fever is one of the few drawbacks.
Back in December I helped out another office who were swamped with some technical paperwork and the only time I left the house in four days was to nip across the road for a packet of fags.
On the Friday a call came in for Dingwall and I didn't even check it remotely, I just jumped in the car and drove there to get out of the house.
Re: Fuel!! Grrrrr!
Piss it!! I'm off out tomorrow to blow the cobwebs, I got a full tank and I'm gonna use it. If I run out or can't find fuel then my friendly recovery guy will just have to come out and fill me up.
I've been on stock check at work all weekend so need to get out, devil may care me ya know
