Folks,

Terry is going to look after things for 2011 and has asked me to pop up a calender placeholder, so people can save the date.

It's looking like the weekend will be based in Masham Black Lion in Richmond, and accommodation details will be posted as they become available. are posted below in MevsyD's post.

A repeat of last years 'Hotel Entry Krypton Factor' entertainment may be arranged if enough people show an interest.

Give me a shout and let me know what the plans are for the ride down, got the OK from the bossman to have a short day on the Friday - basically show face then dissappear as no one will know whether I am working off site or not - so I can no doubt fit in with what suits you.

I have barely been on the bike over the summer so doubt I will be pushing it too hard, especially as I dont particularly want to end up with floral calipers ALA Wee Mac again. Then again the Fiat Yam does have a mind of its own at times - must get speedo cable replaced before then as it does have a habit of clicking off altogether at times.

Anybody that knows - whats the damage for the hotel for the weekend - Ross are we still sharing a Twin Room ? With all the room changes that have been going on is someone going to confirm with the hotel whos got what booked ?

Hi Paul, Yep I'm looking forward to it, did a recie yesterday which included Hard knot pass, we will DEFINITELY not be doing it this year. I have never seen the road as bad, no potholes, just craters, with lots of loose stuff, and wet, absolutely frightning, on the way down the ABS was clicking in regularly. Had I known how bad it was going to be I would'nt even have attempted it. On the bright though got a nice route planned, with a bit of everything, so come on you lot, lets be avin ye.

Getting a K&N filter in ready for the event then just one last polish this week should help keep the muck off.

Can't wait, bring it on.

Sounds frightening terry, it was challenging enough last year. The old cat aint got abs as you know too.

Decided to clean the stock air filter (following Haynes) in case the K&N does not turn up in time - what a chore that is!

You are better sticking with the stock filter as the k&n tends to split on the crease.

As I am not that far from the lakes this coming weekend and was wondering if I could tag along?

Heading out from the black lion in Richmond about 9am Dave and some of the route will be around the lakes I think. It was last year anyway. More than welcome to join us, please do as it is a good bunch and a great day out. Try to make it if you can, it will be worth it.

Hi Dave, Yes we are heading for the lakes, the plan is to leave Richmond at 9.15 prompt via Hawes approx 10,00 sedburgh kendal then ferry nab across windermere. Let me know which of these locations best suits you and we'll set up a meet point. Would this be OK with you Paul (Lancaster)

I think me and Karina should be around for the ride in the day - have a wedding the night before (not ours) - but will catch up with you in the morning

Maybe meet you somewhere between Hawes and Kendal if that's alright?
