Eifel Trip Ride-Out Lunch Stops
Hi Eifel trippers all.
I will be posting up menu choices for the lunch stops on the Friday and Saturday tours.
Please when I have posted them up make a choice of snack/meal and PM me your wants for both days.
I can then let the host organiser know our meal requirements.
As you'll be aware, if 40 people just tip up at a cafe / resturaunt and order individually the lunch stop will be way to long and delay the rest of the ride out.
This is our hosts way of advance block booking to save on time and get us ahead of the queue.
Once I have posted up the menus I'd appreciate a fairly swift responce please as time is now pressing on.
Cheers

Re: Eifel Trip Ride-Out Lunch Stops
Hi Folks,
As promised here are the options on offer for the lunch stops on both ride-out days on the Eifel trip. Please make your selection and PM me your choices for both days.
Friday Lunch:
1. Frankfurters & Potato Salad . . . €5
2. Breaded Pork Escalope with fried egg on bread with a salad garnish . . . €7,50
3. A Leaf Salad with fried Turkey breast strips and Toast . . . €8,50
4. Vienna Schnitzel or Zigeuner Schnitzel with Chips and Salad . . . €10
(schnitzel is a thin pork escalope breaded and fried) Vienna is without any sauce (normaly with a wedge of lemon) Zigeuner sauce is a sweet & sour (chineese style) sauce. Think Szechuan and you'll not be to far adrift.
Saturday Lunch:
1. Fillet Tipps with a cream mushroom sauce, Croquettes and salad . . . €12
2. Pepper sauce Schnitzel , Croquettes , vegetables and salad . . . €9
3. Mixed Salad (lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, onions & tuna) . . . €5
For a light snack
4. Slice of bread with Ham & fried egg . . . €4
5. Hawaii Toast (toasted bread with ham & pineapple and cheese melted over the top) . . . €4
Although some of those prices seem a bit steep do not be put off. Portions are usuall very generous especially with salads and the snack sandwiches.
I would appreciate your orders fairly swiftly to assist our hosts in their organising lunch on both days.
Not that this should sway you but I'm going for option 4 on the Friday (Zigeunerschnitzel - my personal favourite) and option 2 (Peperschnitzel) on the Saturday.
You DO NOT have to order if you don't wish too. You can take your chances (try your luck) at the eat stops on both days.
If that's what you choose to do please also let me know so I'm not hanging around waitin for an answer that aint ever coming on the above choices.
Best regards
Tel

Re: Eifel Trip Ride-Out Lunch Stops
Thanks for being so prompt with your lunch choices folks.
I'll pass those received along on the mail of e in the morning.
Funnily enough, the guy's nickname organising the lunches and (most - if not all) of the Eifel Treff (meet) is "Tschnitzel"
I'll pass along your comments on feelings about food stuffs
Cheers
