BC 8 check in
Shortest distance to travel home so thought I'd start this.
Home safe and sound from a fantastic weekend.
A great well run weekend. Don't believe them when they said it was done without preperation.
Nick and ellie you have done it again. Thank you.
Great to see so many mates again.
And the bikers retreat is a great location.
Bit wet but that didn't dampen the spirits, moods or spoil the ride.
Catch you all at the next one.

Re: BC 8 check in
Home safely - wet & tired but another great weekend.
Thank you to all those that put the effort into attending and supporting the ride out - see y'all soon xx
Re: BC 8 check in
Made it home safely Took me over three hours averaging 27.4 mph but managed to stay upright the whole way
Dirt Bike Dave may get the record for the longest time to get home; the Duc failed him again so he had to get the recovery man out.
Many thanks Nick and Ellie, and all attendees for another great weekend - good to catch up/meet new people/ride out/eat ice cream/drink Welsh whiskey (not at the same time as eating the ice cream obvs.) etc etc - and good call on the Bikers Retreat, excellent hosts.
Big cheers and pats on the back all round.
Hugs

Re: BC 8 check in
Got back home 1.30 dry most of the way, big thanks to Nick and Ellie for the organising etc. and nice to see (for me anyway) a few new faces. Might see one or two of you at Surf&Turf, last time I checked rooms were still available.

Re: BC 8 check in
Pam and I got in at 3pm. Thanks Nick and Ellie for the organisation, Nick for leading us, Pete keeping us all together from the back (of the pack) and to everyone who attended
Wet till Oxford and then intermittent rain, sun came out as I got home. Had a slight scare nearly running out of fuel, think I made it with 3 miles to spare! Only filtering today was about 5 miles on the M25.
Best get my bag packed and heading off to the airport in an hour and a half.

Re: BC 8 check in
Cat and Owen checking in, home about 5. Took our time getting up and away, meandered back through Shrewsbury, Stafford, Uttoxeter. Weather treated us quite well on the way back too.
Many many thanks to Nick for organising (I'm lead to believe Ellie was organising a wedding at the time) and sorting out the route and leading the ride
Thanks to Pete for TECing all day (and being a true gent)
Ellie for the speech
Every single last one of you for the fun weekend, for the craic and a damn good time

Re: BC 8 check in
That's Fatcat and I home, got in just before 7pm. We kept Ross company on the way up the road and took a meandering route which was lots of fun, if a bit wet on occasion.
Many thanks to Nick & Ellie for letting us gatecrash at the last minute. It was great to catch up with you all.

Many many thanks for Ellie & Nick for organising us all, Nick for leading the way, Pete for being the tail end Charlie and everyone else for making it a great weekend.
Fantastic speech and prizes from Ellie.
Special mention to Ian and Gill for their 3000 mile warm up via Spain to make it too.
Grit and determination award for Stef for dusting herself down after a minor mishap.
BOS award goes to Lay By Dave (formally known as Dirt Bike Dave)
Cheers

Re: BC 8 check in
Home around 3:30. Wet through and a bit cold, but made it without incident if you ignore a smidgen late overtake of a horse box and an Audi A3 that decided to overtake just as I pulled alongside!
Now on the train to London. Hope you're at the airport Steve? Hope you're nearly home Dave? That was a depressing picture to see. Hope the recovery driver(s) are better than Smash and Nice I had to endure after I needed recovery. Their endless tales of their finer moments on hospital radio almost drove me to bale out. Hope you, the bike and your sanity make it!
Thanks Nick and Ellie. Wonderful weekend. The weather couldn't dampen the event. Great to be guided around the roads of Wales again.
Thanks to all who attended and made it memorable. Going to work on the indicator control and build a trophy in case I don't succeed.
BTW bath robes with embroidered ToL logo, name optional, will be available later this year
Til next time, ride safely.
Chris

Re: BC 8 check in
Made it to Abington services. Bike is loaded onto 3rd truck of the day. Driver 3 now on a 45 minute break. on target to get home around half past midnight. Is that a new record???
Will be having choice words with Ducati dealer on Tuesday morning as they obviously didn't fix the issue they said they fixed.
Anyway great to see everyone again and nice to meet Steph. Well done for getting back on the bike and into the groove right after your little incident.
Cheers Nick and Ellie for organising another cracking weekend.
Thanks to Pete for his TEC duties.
looking forward to the next one. Hopefully on a working bike or a new one.
Cheers

That's evening longer than my journey home with Steptoe & Son back from Weemac and a poorly bike.
Re: BC 8 check in
I think it's time to trade it in. Let me down twice now since out of warranty. Booking 2 test rides on different bikes tomorrow. Watch this space.

Thanks. Not walking like an old woman anymore and have finished the Ibuprofen diet - some interesting bruises and still finding leaves in odd places but very relieved I got off so lightly. Looking forward to meeting you all again somewhen - take care.
