Helmet conundrum
Right my brain hurts trying to work this out so I'm hoping someone can help me.....
I recently bought a shark speed R helmet and while it's great, the forehead bit is just too padded and leaves me with a silly red mark across my head if I wear it for more than 10 minutes.
I contacted Shark and they said I just have to buy a different sized skull cap for it.
But what I can't work out is do I need a smaller one or a bigger one??
Would a small one be more padded or less?

Re: Helmet conundrum
Did you buy it from a shop or online?
New lids do tend to be overly tight. I can't speak for Shark, I bought a Shuberth from Helmet City online and am fortunate in the fact there is a franchised dealer close by.
Went in and they checked my purchase and assured me I had bought the right helmet, some time later the padding settled down and it is indeed the right fit. Like you I was getting red marks on my face wearing it.

Re: Helmet conundrum
I got it online from getgeared. I had tried it on in my local shop first but only for 30 odd seconds.
It is my sort of best helmet that I mainly use for decent ride outs (I have a cheapish caberg that I use for work and gym as it gets bashed about and thrown in lockers etc) so it may just be a case of bedding in but how long does it take? I'd say I've worn it for around 25 hours already?

Re: Helmet conundrum
I'd guess it's body(part) size it goes on, same as buying socks, shoes, gloves etc.
So you'd need a larger one (if it comes down to it).

Re: Helmet conundrum
Yeah I was thinking I'd need a larger one?
My theory is if the shell size is the same then a M would have the most padding and an XXL would have the least? Is that logical?
