Thundercat has a problem!
After a mere 14 years of ownership the Thundercat has let me down...on the way to work today the speedo stopped working! The bike is only 16 years old and has developed a fault already....I am shocked and stunned

I'm far too busy watching where I'm going to look at the speedo!
If you want any advice on fixing the speedo thingy doober, I'm your woman. I've got a spare stocking somewhere......

It's always the best option in my opinion, if you are stopped by the rozzers and they ask "do you know how fast you were travelling" you can answer honestly "not a clue officer". Generally I have no problem with speed, it tends to be the person behind me

Re: Thundercat has a problem!
wonder if mine is going to go wrong soon then. It's 13 years old? Hoped to get another 10 or so years before I had to fix anything.
Maybe they are not very reliable after all

0ldcat I reckon the only time my big went as fast as it should was when Rosco helped to run it in a wee bit!
Hope it's only the tabbed washer thing Radar, called strangely a clutch plate I think and costing pennies.
Cheers

Re: Thundercat has a problem!
I think it is showing everyone's own username (like it says Little Ninja on mine and probably your own on your screen) as part of the message. I did mention it to Rob this morning saying I wondered why I had been mentioned.

Re: Thundercat has a problem!
Nope , no joke. It just caught some on the hop, and took a wee while to figure out how it had been done because, like me, had probably not seen it used before.
Can't really see any useful application for it on this forum though.

Re: Thundercat has a problem!
I assume everyone sees their own forum name in Tel's post. Can't quite see how that's a feature that you would want to use too often.
Now when I see my name mentioned I may hestitate to respond for fear of it being a generic post.

Yes, everyone EDIT: DID see their own username . . . However the offending link has been extracted to stop any alarm. So now there should be no fear of a sudden rush of generic posts mate . . . And as the hitch hikers guide to the Galaxy clearly says in big cuddly lettersbillyw wrote:I assume everyone sees their own forum name in Tel's post.
