Re: Thinking of selling my 600
You've done a fair bit of work on that and she's a real tidy piece of work but I'm afraid your labour of love is just a bike to any potential buyer and whilst you can try for a but extra it is a buyers market at the moment so you'll be hard pressed to realise a price you'll be happy with.
As a start have a look what they are going for on Autotrader, MCN etc but you'll generally find the best guide to the sort of price people want to pay by search completed listings (not sold items) on eBay. This will show you what the auction ones sold for and what the classifieds didn't sell for.
Don't be tempted to put it up for a drastically high price in the hope that you can negotiate down to the price you want, the phone just won't ring. You can only put a market realistic price on and be prepared to sell it for less. That's just the way the market is at the moment. Plus it's not the best time of yr to be selling, making it a real buyers market!! :(
Good news is the same goes for your next purchase and you should be able to pick up a real bargain. :)Good luck with the sale and I hope you get close to what you want.

Unless you are in a rush, wait till spring. This is the start of the 'bargain' season. Maybe £1200 :(

Re: Thinking of selling my 600
Keep it, at least until next spring when you're more likely to get a decent price for it. My insurance is due in November and until then the premium is horrendous but to sell at that time will be suicide anyway so I'll be looking to buy then but keeping the cat as I really don't want to let it go, it's a great bike and I don't want to lose it.

Re: Thinking of selling my 600
Keep the Thundercat if you can and buy the blade as well. I have kept my Thundercat despite having bought at least two 'replacements'...a XJR1300SP and my current 07 FZ1S Fazer
If not don't sell until next Spring, you will get a better price for it.

It's ok gathering bikes but one only has one 'arse' and I struggle to find time to ride one let alone 2.
Go with your gut feeling & u wont go far wrong.

Decided to keep it
Just cant bring myself to move it on just yet and i like the idea of keeping it under cover and bringing it back to former glory
CBR Will have to wait
