ToL Rideout - 1 day to go!
First topic message reminder :
Only 1 day to go to ToL! Main thread is here [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Posting this reminder up regularly!
If anyone has any questions please post in the main thread and I'll answer as best I can.
On the Monday morning a couple of us (at least) will be heading over to Cadwell for the BSB race day. If you want to join us that would be great. Tickets are available from here . Book online to save £5 on the entry ticket price.
Unfortunately there have been some cancellations, so there are now accommodation spaces available at £20 pppn if anyone now finds they can join us or want to enjoy the evening and stay over after the rideout. I've inspected the accommodation and I think you'll be impressed. Just drop me a message or post up.
I'll be at the hostel from 5pm on Saturday 25th. Access is down a little lane (Friars Lane) opposite the East end of Beverley Minster (that you can's miss!). Go right to the end of the lane and the entrance is on the left. Parking may be on grass so bring a stand puck if you have one.
Looking forward to catching up with folks. Safe trip.
Remember to bring a towel! Duvets and pillows are provided.
If anyone doesn't have my mobile number then send me a PM with yours and I'll text it back.
Cheers,
Chris

Re: ToL Rideout - 1 day to go!
Robcat and I got home a little while ago after picking up Ewan. Thanks to all for making another cracking and very enjoyable rideout and evening.
Thanks to Chris for organising and leading the rideout and to everyone for the brilliant company.
We are both looking forward to Surf and Turf and hope the BSB is good for those who went to it today.
There were some very nice roads and the day seemed to go very quick as we were really enjoying it.

ToL 2012 - Pics & a Vid. added.
Me and Gary had a slow trip back due to heavy traffic and we had to it easy as Gary's bike developed an oil leake at ToL.
Crowds lined the streets at Louth waving at the bikes and had signs with rev it, burn out etc. I managed to oblige with some revving but also (I thing tiredness) I manage to pop a small wheelie across the traffic lights much to the cheer and clapping of the crowd, not intentional!
Good fun safe ridout, always a pleasure to meet the usual crowd and new ones.
Cadwell was good and we managed to leave cards on 4 Cats.
Very tired this morning but have the rest of the week of with the daughter so should get plenty of rest - mountain biking/ Alton Towers.
Nice one guys.
Oh yes, thanks guys for trying to tip the portaloo over at BSB! Tarts!

Re: ToL Rideout - 1 day to go!
Got back yesterday evening taking about twice the time it took to get down there......but on soo much better roads.
Ended up on the Penrith to Alston road up to Hartside cafe by accident Shame they had done some cheapskate re-surfacing and left half of the chips loose all over the road at the start.
Huge thanks to Chris for organising this and his band of little helpers (or was is just Mechy?)
I had a great time and I think everyone else did too.
Route was great. Leading and tail-end charlies were spot on.
Marking system went smoothly.
Venue was great, breakfasts went with military precision, evening entertainment and grub was top notch too.
We had rain, wind and shine but mainly shine which was nice. For the first time we had some nautical adventures too led by our very own Eddie990 the sea-pirate although only the brave and/or stupid followed him.
Newbie Gazzyboy (Gary) dived in the deep end feet for his first group rideout. For your first group rideout I thought you rode very well Gary. Hope you enjoyed it and come back for more.
Hope your oil leak isn't too expensive to fix.
Tel - Hope the endurance journey's we had haven't caused you to run out of meds. I trust Bea is tending to you (or telling you off) or both. We'll sort a taxi next time.
Great to see friends new and old and really enjoyed the spectacle of the BSB with Chris, John and Gary despite the over-priced everything.
Quote of the weekend - Mechy scaring the newbie trying to explain the golden rule of the marker system (or so we're led to believe) - "On no account should you move until I come"
I'll get through the pics and get them uploaded when I get a chance.....might need to wait a while till after this weekend though ..... sorry.
Cheers
Rosco

Bet you say that to all the girls....
Re: ToL Rideout - 1 day to go!
Looks like we missed a great weekend, but we were busy house hunting & entertaining teenagers.
My bike is up and running now and looking at the weather I'm not going to get out on it much now apart from S&T. And that will be it for the year.
I've only been out on it for wee mac, BC & a half an hour blast a few weeks ago.
Hopefully next year will be better weather!

Amen to that! I probably have more ride outs in the winter! We seem to actually have drier weather plus the roads are quieter
