ToL Rideout - 1 day to go!

Posting this reminder up regularly!

If anyone has any questions please post in the main thread and I'll answer as best I can.

On the Monday morning a couple of us (at least) will be heading over to Cadwell for the BSB race day. If you want to join us that would be great. Tickets are available from here . Book online to save £5 on the entry ticket price.

Unfortunately there have been some cancellations, so there are now accommodation spaces available at £20 pppn if anyone now finds they can join us or want to enjoy the evening and stay over after the rideout. I've inspected the accommodation and I think you'll be impressed. Just drop me a message or post up.

I'll be at the hostel from 5pm on Saturday 25th. Access is down a little lane (Friars Lane) opposite the East end of Beverley Minster (that you can's miss!). Go right to the end of the lane and the entrance is on the left. Parking may be on grass so bring a stand puck if you have one.

Remember to bring a towel! Duvets and pillows are provided.

I'm afraid it looks as though I'm going to have to bail on the rideout for this year. As much as I want to go I can't stay over because of prior commitments and my wife is now on at me about possibly going camping and having some "family time" over the bank holiday.

At the risk of upsetting the apple cart and bearing in mind she's let me loose on 3 rallies, BC and Assen this year I think it's best to now out of this one and amass some brownie points for surf and turf.

Sorry to be missing it and I hope you all have a great (and safe) rideout :(

Indeed I am, otherwise I would be staggering around Peterborough, drunkenly trying to find a kebab house. So hopefully I'll get the meet and greet on Sunday, see you then.

Nearly finished prepping the bike and getting excited that I am actually going to make it - if I get up on time Sunday in time.

After getting fed up with the excess vibration I was getting I slackened the chain just a little bit (on a suggestion) although it looked correct to me and would you know it the excess vibration seems to have dissapeared!

Will see how it goes on the rideout.

Just Air Filter to check as it hasn't been done for a while and I went through a small swarm of Hornets (Not the Bike), reminds me got to clean the mess of my textiles, check Oil, tyre pressures then Wash * Polish.

Nearly binned it late last night though in the dark, gave the throttle a little blip as I only needed the second junction in a housing estate and the bloody council had gritted the road starting at the junction I needed, really do hate the Cats headlights on dip - I know lack of obs. Anyway I managed to make the turning with a bit of squirly and made it to the pub.

That's enough morning drivel, off to get a tea.

New rear tyre to go on this afternoon and the service kit has only just arrived today, I foresee a very busy saturday morning for me!

Just back in, S&S, from TOL 2012. A good route, thanx to Chris and Pete, taking in the best road of east and north Yorkshire with a good dash of north Lincs.

Nice to see some known faces and one new one. 9 bikes with 10 peeps so the marking was simple and we only went the wrong way once.

No doubt Rosco will be starting the caption competion as soon as he gets home.

Safe journey for all those off to the BSB or just going home. Thanks for a great day.
