Nightshift don't you just love it

Here i am at work, sat in a portacabin next to a runway at 2.20am. Only 5hours 40 mins to go.
Is there anyone else out there have the pleasure of doing nightshift?

Are you part of the expat bike scene out there? I have a good mate who lives out there big into his mountain bikes and rides a SP1.

Nahhh I'm just working out here for now. Can't wait to get home. Missed all the Olympics. Did catch some of it on telly out here tho.

I just got home about 5 mins ago. 6pm till 6am , back in again tonight.
It was lashing down here for the last couple of hours, but stopped just after my mate name in to shift me, so me and my cat got home dry

I do shifts and sometimes nights. Hate nights. I've worked shifts for 25 years, I think it must have knocked years off my life!!

I work on a 5 shift pattern and do a mixture of 12 Hr days and 12 Hr nights in the same week , but get 10 days off every 4 weeks . off to bed now, i am knackered. I only came online to order givi plate for my bike

have done shifts on and off for many years,, did 3 years at Toyota,, fist 18 months on 3 shift pattern , then 18 months on permanant nights,
12.5 hours, so really dont want todo them ever again

I'm on nights again tonight, only another 8 hrs to go again.
I kinda like night shift, no bosses about and no politics, also i'm a lone worker so basically can do as i please for 12 hrs, plus I love the days off during the week.
I've worked various shift patterns now for 27 years, I've read everything that doctors have wrote about the effects of working nights and according to them I think I should be dead by now

I must admit I prefer the work at night, no bosses about, no traffic on the roads, going to bed when everyone else is going to work and the days off in the week. It's the lack of sleep I struggle with lol.

I've always done nights in the past because the money was better.

Well I'm now on nights...... Which is daytime in the UK sort of......
My body clock is seriously fekked up!!
A week to go then I've got the jet lag to contend with again.

i do all 3 shifts on cover including weekends
this weeks its 4 afters 2,30 till 11pm the onto 2 days 6,00am to 2,30
same next week yep its 6 working day with only monday off
then on to nighst sat sun mon thurs friday on 11pm till 7,30 with tues wens off but tues spents most of the day in bed
sleeping eating patterns all to pot no wonder they say shift worker die early lol

Yeah, been on nights for 2 years now, only do 4 a week though so it's not too bad... Plus there's no bosses, unlimited cuppas & only about 4 hours actual 'work'...

well thats another shift gone & im off to bed
