Bought this bike in Preston last year...
First topic message reminder :
It has a whole bunch of mods I believe but I don't know what they all are, I'd love to get in touch with the guy who tarted it up!

Phew! Just done a search on that forum for Allanwilson & found this:

For those of you that want to know what happened to the big bore kit. I had to stop mentioning it on the forum due to the fact that someone mentioned that a bike with the big bore kit would not be covered by a standard insurance policy. I did a check & found that it was approximately twice the price to insure the bike with it on. Even though you couldn’t tell by looking at the bike that it had a big bore kit fitted I started to worry about it. I then had the bike converted back to standard. So please don’t mention the big bore kit anymore or the next thing the insurance company will be taking the bike apart to check. The bike is a being sold at a bargain price so that I can start my next project. It’s a great bike for someone who wants a bike that requires nothing & has virtually everything.
It IS a great bike

Re: Bought this bike in Preston last year...
That sounds like a disclaimer to me, I can't see him stripping the motor just to put his mind at rest.
For what its worth I'd assume the big bore kit is still fitted but I'd also not worry about it as 'you' don't know that
Personally next time you meet up with a fellow 'cat owner from off this forum ask them to take it for a quick spin, I think the extra BHP would be instantly obvious.
Nice bike btw

After reading through the US thread, his wife spent well over £1000 on the big bore, I very much doubt he removed it :-)
