Reserector from across the pond
First topic message reminder :
My name is Mark. I live in Laurel Mississippi, USA, and have ridden to work in Bay Springs every day since I bought my cat on June 10th. That's five days a week at 65 miles round trip. I have clocked 10,0000 miles from then until now, and have no intentions of letting up. I do have a truck that I can drive if weather gets too hostile.
I recently bought my '03 Yamaha YZF600RR (ThunderCat) as a commuter. At least that is how I explained it to my wife.
I was told about this forum by Oldcat, who visitedhttp://yzf600r-usa.com recently. EDIT: Now at http://YZF600R.com (we dropped the -usa domain) On Tapatalk, search for YZF600R
I own a few forums of my own, in fact. http://mississippi-mud.com and http://southernskater.com , and I invite y'all to check those out if you are into off-road trucks, or roller skating.

12 years and 90,000 miles later...
I'm back! Been a long time. Nearly 12 years since this introduction.
I still have my 2003 Cat with nearly 130,000 miles on it, but am passing it to my son. We have a couple of minor repairs to do and he can get back to riding it.
I'm on a 2003 FJR1300 now, but still engaged with the YZF community.
I just got done resurrecting the USA site http://yzf600r.com and am caretaker of that site and domain. As you may know, it is a very old site, like this one. As such, it is a fantastic archive of information.
I wanted to let you all know that it is back online. So if you don't find your answers here, give that site a scan.
I'm not trying to poach members. I'm here because I've spent weeks reviving it and I would love for it to be of use.
I still have many links to fix in the forums, so if you come across a missing link or attachment that you need, PM me there or here so I can help.

Re: Reserector from across the pond
Hi and thanks for the update.
I'm not seeing it as poaching, in fact we have a button at the top of the screen pointing to your site. I have updated the link to now connect to your new URL.
This site like so many fora do not get the traffic of yore. Like yours this is a treasure trove of what is now archived info as many of us have moved onto other machinery.
All the best with your resurrected site.

Do you happen to have that dragon shot of you and Chris that was used for the Facebook group for a while? At least I think it was the header for the yzf600r.com fb group.
I'd love to make that the new header for the forum.
Re: Reserector from across the pond
Great to see you back, still have my blue cat 2001 model but only 38000 miles on it. Glad to hear the old usa site is alive again i used to spend hours on that back in the day.

Thanks.
That photo was epic! So much better than the old forum header. (which I can't find, anyway. )

Welcome back Reserector and thanks for the update.
130,000 miles..... well done and great to hear it is still going and hope your boy looks after it too.
I've found some useful nuggets on your site over the years .... it's all about sharing the yzf600r love.
Cheers
Rosco

Re: Reserector from across the pond
Thanks Rosco. He just replaced the shift shaft, installed the shift kit that I've had on the shelf, cleaned the carbs, and he is back on the road.
