Breaking thundercat
First topic message reminder :
Everything will go onto e-bay (easy bits first then the rest as I learn to take it apart!), but thought I'd offer here first.
It's a 2001 yellow/silver/black, although the fairings are a bit tired.
Pics/prices on request
E-bay link

Re: Breaking thundercat
Yes, and you put the oil in through the clutch cover, as it's a wet clutch!
Also the cover on the left has cables going to it, and I dont mean the mechanical cable type. That also confirms to me it's the generator/alternator cover.

Re: Breaking thundercat
I've edited my previous post
and double checked with Mr Haynes
LHS has cover that is the Alternator
LHS has cover over front sprocket (that thing that makes the big chainy thing move) which is also where the clutch cable goes to.
RHS has large clutch cover.
RHS has smaller 'starter clutch' cover above and to the right of the large clutch cover.
After confusing myself I hope I've not confused anyone else.
Cheers

BTW I'd be happy to collect the generator cover as it's a fairly heavy item.

Re: Breaking thundercat
Ah yes my apologies I was getting confused also, as I only associated it as the clutch cover due to the clutch cable going to the LHS.

That'll get the mods into a tankslap
I was getting ready to pull out the chairs, light the fire and start selling hot dogs and burgers, this was squaring up for a good Barney and all the time the price is going up.
I don't know if anybody has noticed that the OP has stopped replying to requests over a week ago, my suggestion would be to PM a reasonable offer to him. However it's purr-fectly OK to carry on making requests and if you like, incorrectly identifying parts of the bike
