Hello, new owner in Bristol
First topic message reminder :
I've just bought myself a P reg thundercat. Cant actually ride it as I haven't got my license yet, but got my CBT on Friday, then module 1 on mon and if I pass I start module 2 on tuesday so hopefully be riding it soon!
I know absolutely nothing about motorbikes so was wondering if there is anything I need to know maintenance wise? I've been starting it every few days to keep the battery charged, but ny the time I get my license it will have been parked up for the best part of a month, anything I need to be aware of such as brakes etc??
Also when I start it from cold I have to give it a bit of choke, and if I rev it to quick it cuts out. Is this normal??
Sorry if I'm being a bit thick, like I say I'm a complete novice!

Re: Hello, new owner in Bristol
Congratulations!
Nothing like the feeling of passing your bike test. Nearly there.
Keep up the good work.

good job mate, mod 2 is easier, just imagine you are on a ride with instructor but its easier because they pick up everything where as the examiner just puts it down to nerves, good luck

Congrats, you mean Friday 18th or 25th?
We'll get you out on it soon and have to find a central place to arrange a meet for all the Bristol/Gloucester/Wiltshire people so we can say hello. Infact, I feel a thread coming on.

25th. I'll def be up for a meet, my intstructor took me out on a nice twisty road yesterday and I loved it. I'm pretty slow on the bends though so I'll probably be right at the back!!

I know, didn't really think that one through. I stuck it on Facebook as well for an extra bit of pressure! I've been out for a good few hours today, stalled it a couple of times and Im pretty slow on the bends, might have to get myself some "P" plates!!
