Hellooooo!
First topic message reminder :
Hi all!
Awesome site. Snagsy here, just doing my Direct Access course at the moment (not literally!), and purchased a T-Cat for my first bike! Its getting delivered next sat/sun. 1997 and FSH:
30 years old, married with 2 kids and been driving since 17 so left it a little late I suppose, but better late than ever!
Anyway hope to learn a lot here and please be gentle

Hellooooo!!
Welcome from me too! I also bought my first bike before passing my test! Definitely a good incentive and at least it is there waiting for you (and you can sit on it and pretend in the meantime!!) Good luck with the test

Re: Hellooooo!
Right - first day on bike.
To be honest, I have been REALLY struggling with the clutch to be honest, although im not a small guy and do weights (not a lot, but enough) my wrists feel quite weak after half an hour on the cat.
Not really sure what to do - is this normal? I had a go on a suzuki gladius today (mates) as wanted to compare the clutch, and that was MUCH easier to ride.
Is there any way to make the clutch lighter at all or am I stuck with it? Please point me to another thread if this is the wrong place to ask!
Cheers again!

Re: Hellooooo!
There must be something wrong , the Cat's clutch is really light - there maybe a technical issue here , I'm sure - I'm only 5"3 70kg average strength , but really we shouldn't even be having this conversation about the clutch ! I'm sure some of the more experience and technically apt members here will advise you .Sorry I can't be of more help .

Re: Hellooooo!
Hey Snagsy - Pit Stop would've been the better place to put it so people can see it but Tel or someone might be able to move part of the thread across for you unless you want to post it as a new topic there.
Like John, i have no problems with my clutch (i'm very pleased i'm no longer the shortest one on here btw john as my official height is 5'3 and a half ) i have it on a short adjustment for my hand span so i don't know if that would make any difference or whether you need to be going more technical than that in which case its over to the growed ups on here

Re: Hellooooo!
Hi, welcome and well done.
I passed my test and had to wait 2 months before i got my bike.
The wait was worse than doing the test.
Dont think there could be anything worse- 1 bike licence, no bike!!
Glad to hear you've got your bike now. I found that i had all sorts of muscular aches and pains when i first got my bike.
It was hard enough just walking round in my leathers, let alone riding the bike.
Doesn't take long for your body to get used to riding though and you'll soon be having loadsa fun- then your body aches when you're not on the bike
Cheers,
Woody
