Hi All

Can you please show your interest in Big Mac here please?
We are currently looking in to accommodation and will get a block booking if the numbers are sufficient

When I last checked the Braemar Hostel had the following free
Private Rooms of EIGHT, FIVE, FOUR, FOUR and a TWIN

Lots of Communal Rooms (some female only)

e.g.

Rosco (and my beeatch for the weekend "BravePill" )

Braemar Hostel - Staying FRI, SAT, SUN nights - Happy to share large private group room with rest of our group

I've maybe missed a wee post somewhere but where are you meeting on the saturday morning and riding too?
I'm up for the meet and ride but can't do an overnight stay.

Glad you're thinking of joining us.

We're probably meeting from 9am with a view to setting off at 9.30 on the Saturday (At the Hostel.....first on right as you come into Braemar from the South)

We are taking in Balmoral (will need to check with her majesty), Stonehaven & Lunch in Aberdeen at a famous Fish & Chippy Restaurant after that we're heading in the general direction of Elgin / Lossiemouth.
There is a shortcut back to Braemar after afternoon coffee for those that want/need it or the full version if yer bahookie can take it.

Ross - Fi DID give you my message with regard to me sharing a room firstly with blokes and secondly (and possibly if you are a snorer more importantly) with regards to snorers? I do NOT have a high tolerance threshold if i am tired (as 12 kids around the corner who woke me up last night by having a moonlit naked stroll will testify) and i am VERY handy with a pillow!

You can have my bunk in the 4 bedder. I'll probably be up all night snoring apparently so I won't need a bunk

if it's bunk beds i want a bottom one - on account of being little and suffering PTS from an incident when i was a kid and my brother made me get on the top bunk then took the ladder away and left me there for 3 hours ............ but i don't want anyone above me that trumps! .......... Oh and me 81 year old father is a bit concerned about my moral welfare (my 81 year old mother is a bit concerned about the blokes' moral welfare!!!!)

you've known me longer than Neil and he noticed that in the first 2 weeks of meeting me - i'm known amongst my friends for being a female Jack Dee

Tick tock tick tock... Getting closer! So us southerners that are riding up, where and when are we going to meet to ride up together? If we start the dialogue now we might be in shape for a week on Friday...!

MevsyD, We're travelling up on Tuesday so won't be able to meet up but if you want a few ideas for a nice days ride give me a shout.

Nope you'e not the only one! Only this one hasn't been as organised as he should be.

I'll be heading up from Thirsk on Friday so if you want to head up together that would be fine with me.

All we need to do is arrange a meeting place and time. How about Scotch Corner services at 10:00 for coffee?

I'm also heading up on Friday. I was planning, after someone at work mentioned it, to go via the A68 through the Northumberland park. A bit better that the A1 I've been told. I'm in Hull and was going to set off around 8:00 upto York, then Thirsk, Darlington then the A68 and on to up to Rosco's for dinner and a sit down.
