BIG MAC VII 2010 - SIGN UP - Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd

Hi All

Can you please show your interest in Big Mac here please?
We are currently looking in to accommodation and will get a block booking if the numbers are sufficient

When I last checked the Braemar Hostel had the following free
Private Rooms of EIGHT, FIVE, FOUR, FOUR and a TWIN

Lots of Communal Rooms (some female only)

e.g.

Rosco (and my beeatch for the weekend "BravePill" )

Braemar Hostel - Staying FRI, SAT, SUN nights - Happy to share large private group room with rest of our group

I'd like to try and book some private rooms soon (no not those kind Dave.....we'll get that sorted in Germany ).

Private room will have only members of this site (or hangers on to members of this site)
Failing that you can boom your own bunk in a communal room in the Hostel.
Final option is to sort your own accomodation in Braemar (it is quite a small place).

Any couples coming? I can book the twin for you too if it is still available.

Need to pay a one off group booking fee so it works out cheaper making a group booking otherwise everyone gets charged a temporary hostel membership fee.
I'll probably book the 8 bunk room soon regardless as most big macs have circa 12 to 16 bikes or so from memory.

Ach ya chuckies (as me old (ex)man would say) - deep fried haggis supper is scrumptious = you think thats wrong chris i could point you towards a chippy in the vicinity of Lennoxtown that deep fries everything - including pizza - and it's not to order that's standard!!
And if that's not enough for you i was once with someone who'd ordered egg fried rice from a chinese in East Kilbride and when she took the lid off ............ yep you guessed.... i kid you not it was fried rice with a fried egg on top!!!

Funnily enough the cost of the bunk has gone up approx £1 per person per night. Funny that

thats us 2 down for your wee ride (Tho as i'm suffering with my back at present in all likelihood we'll not do the whole thing but we'll start with you in the morning and finish with you in the bar ) .... and there may be another girlie as well all being well with us

If you are ok with sharing a communal (women only room) then I can book 2 or 3 spaces in there. Alternatively I can book your own private room but the smallest i think is a four or the twin so this doesn't accomodate changes as easily.

So I count 4 Thundercat riders (all of them girls), 9 bikes and 10 people so far.

Terry - Have I included your entire entourage? Can you check with John please?
I'm sure he said he was up for this but would sort his own accommodation since we were too noisy last time and fiddled with his toes.
I thought that was your snoring though......TBH - It is the only reason I drink on these to make sure I can sleep through it

The cost will be split between us all so it is in our best interest to fill all the spaces.
As in the past at Hostels we will buy stuff for breakfast and some refreshments for the evening.....We could possibly even sort our own BBQ one night too.
Just for the accommodation will be £22 pppn with current numbers and just over £18 pppn as it stands.
I'm hoping about £25 pppn should be about right.

Not good with numbers, but it looks like the bunk house is full - if so I'll sniff around the local B&B's.

An advanced warning to the Scots: I won't be heading straight home after BM, will meander upwards and go and see my brothers 'new' house in the Orkney's. New isn't really the right term, it's a couple hundred years old and I think uninhabitable, but the land is good for his intended wind turbine. I've just gotta go and see this [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.], hopefully will be easier to get to than his forest near Ullapool.

The Hostel is not full....checked the other day.

If enough others sign up soon we can book another private room (4 people)
Failing that you can always just get a bed in a communal room.
That way you would be sharing with nutters you don't know as opposed to ones you do
