Black Forest & Vosges mountains
Hi everyone,
been almost a year again since I last posted about a trip so thought it's about time I give a quick report of the one I did the past (long) weekend here.
We went to the Black Forest and over into the French Vosges mountains. Apart from the first and last day being "mildly moist" the rest of the tour was great. Managed to do about 1500km in 4 days.
I was particularly impressed with the Vosges mountains. In some parts you feel like riding in the Alps but with only a fraction of the traffic and compared to the, now VERY restricted, Black Forest it's still largely "unregulated" there.
Here some photos: Google-Photos
And here the routes for all the days:
Day 1: Motoplaner-Link
Day 2: Motoplaner-Link
Day 3: Motoplaner-Link
Day 4: Motoplaner-Link
I can thoroughly recommend giving that region a go. There's enough to explore for about 3-4 days easily and plenty of reasonably priced accommodation as well.
As always, if anyone's planning a trip over here, just let me know.
Cheers

Great pics Thomas, recognise a few people! I did some of your second day's trip a few years ago, was fantastic. Seem to remember that was the day I managed to break my jacket zip
I see there's at least one tyre which got a good thrashing

Re: Black Forest & Vosges mountains
Always a pleasure to see and read about your trips/tours/adventures Thomas, and as Steve says some nice pictures.
Reminds me of the trip Tony (TCB), took a group of us to the Jura region in France for 10 day tour. Also worth while for a visit.
