New bike ordered.
It's not red and it's not a sports bike.
Auld Terry will be pleased.

Re: New bike ordered.
Good news Dave, have you traded in the 1199 then?
Do you know when you'll get the new bike then? In time for Big Mac?

Re: New bike ordered.
Yup traded 1199 in but only once it's been repaired. Hopefully get it back tomorrow.
Have done the deal and paid a deposit on new bike. New bike is in stock but with waiting on the 1199 to be sorted and I'm going back to work next Wednesday so not picking up new bike till the Tuesday after BM.
Apparently there is only 1 other 1199 same year as mine for sale in uk at the moment. He was struggling to find one to compare prices for a trade in. Anyway we settled on a figure which I had in my head already so I'm happy.
BM will be the 1199 swan song for me. If it's going by then.

Re: New bike ordered.
That'll be quite a swan song considering it was ducked in Wales.

Re: New bike ordered.
Well done terry it is indeed a multi. 1200S with touring pack in white...test rode one this morning and was blown away.. Bags of power and comfy...
Fancied one for a while but was always too tall. The new one has an adjustable seat so us short arses can now fit on one...wanted a red one initially but they had none in stock. He had 2 white ones in stock and threw in a free top box if I signed today..didn't realise the white ones were more expensive so he gave me it for the price of a red one with a free top box to match the panniers....obviously they are struggling to sell the white ones.
170 mile tank range so I may need to go for a Barry sheene lid after all for smoke breaks.
Bike has Bluetooth thingy built in so you can connect your phone and lid to the bike and control your music and phone etc from the bike controls.....didn't try the cruise control thingy but should be handy for momo runs...only 160bhp so might need to be a bit more careful on the overtakes.

Life's too short mate.....
I did look at the 959 and priced fitting it with a proper exhaust...but after testing the MTS I was smitten...had a 1299 booked for a test then the 959. Wasn't interested after taking out the MTS..
I even looked at a BMW s1000xr then I came to my senses.

Can't imagine you wanting to do a swapsie with Rosco, I once rode that BOS round a car park in Spain {remember} quite far enough.

Re: New bike ordered.
Bob I like the V twins so I was limited to my choices and us scotch don't make any.
Davie. I've never been a pannier man but they came free with the bike. Need to remember they are there when filtering from now on.
I fancy a trip up north west on the new bike so I'll give you a shout for a Wee camping trip if you fancy it.
