Just spent 600 quid on the rst trachtech evo 2 piece suit, plus boots and gloves. About time I got some cow skin as opposed to my usual textiles, hope weather warms up for my ride to bishops castle with snowcat

Textiles are very good these days, but psychologically I always think leathers offer more protection. It's not always true of course; you get what you pay for.
However it's always nice to treat yourself and why not with the weather improving and a rideout in the offing.
Have a safe ride down with Snowcat. Met up with him last year for the first time on the ride down to BC. Those great plans fell apart Embarassed pretty quickly, but that just added to the stories.
Look forward to meeting up with you in Wales.

Cheers,
Chris

I forget Chris was it us or Brian & Kev that headed off in the wrong direction? I distinctly remember you doing a pretty intense emergency stop in front and me and my bike (almost) joining you in a pillion stylie on the back of your Duc Shocked

Looking forward to riding down with you Prime, will be an early start though pal, fingers crossed it's leathers weather, it was tropical last year!!

Well my gear has all arrived and 600quid later im now kitted neck to toe in rst tractech evo leathers. Dont think Ill be using knee sliders anytime soon, but im glad I now have good leathers instead of textiles all time. Only been for a pootle in them, but they seem comfy. Hopefully itll warm up soon and june 8th for bc will be nice.

useless without pics

I've been dying to try that icon out Very Happy

The textile vs Leather debate will continue, I'm old skool, so it's gotta be leather.

Haha pics tomorrow. When I next get some money I want to get a new set of textiles, some rst ones again the adventure suit. I felt like robocop in my leathers and even leaned a little further into corners now I have proper gear on.

Got to be one set of each.

When I fell off, at speed, I was in my textiles, cheap ones too and they did the job alright, so I have no problems in believing they are up to the job if required. Obviously they stop being waterproof after an off though Wink

My current spada textiles have served their purpose, never had to deal with an off, but stopped being waterproof years ago
