Hi,
I've got a wanted post for a good condition replacement water pump on the forum, but looking on line does anyone know if an R6 water pump is the same?

Never really looked but to be honest the engines are different so I suspect that the pump would be as well.

I doubt it. More likely to be the same or similar in a FZS600 or even a FZR600R.

Do you just need the pump itself? I have one in the shed and one on an engine both 0f a 97/98 cat.

Stupid question probably but how do you know if the water pump is gone or on its way

One sign is if you see coolant leaking out of the pump, it has two seals one being the outer and at first glance you'd think this has gone but there is also an internal seal. When this one goes the safety mechanism is to let water out of the casing, in this case a new pump is required.
