Big Mac 2016 - Who's in? (22nd July 3 nights) New Lanark - two great rideouts

Hi Folks

Big Mac 2015 - Thinking of going to somewhere different this year in the Central Belt(ish) or South West of Scotland either New Lanark HERE or Newton Stewart HERE
Don't worry Highlands......we'll be back next year!!!

Ideally if everyone could stay all 3 nights if possible but we might be able to accommodate less nights if some folks really need it (I'll need to know this in advance)
(other accommodation available if youth hostel doesn't float your boat)

Friday 22nd July for 3 Nights - Rideouts on the Saturday and Sunday.

Prices will be cheap n cheerful as usual - rough guide - approx £35 pppn (give or take a bit depending on location / final costs) and that includes breakfast, evening meals (cooked by our talented in-house chef's(me & you) and drinks (although we might go out the Saturday or Sunday night)

We'd probably need a small deposit soon(ish) to confirm the booking and the rest in late May perhaps.

Will work out finer details once we've got enough numbers to go ahead with a booking.

If we've got enough numbers by the end of the month i'll look I'll enquire about booking, getting deposits and making a booking.

Those organising their own hotel / B&B can do so (probably better to wait till I've booked first)

They currently have additional space so we can increase our booking if need be.

Lovely part of the country - falls of clyde nearby walk away and a world heritage site.

Terry, Tim & Dads Army - The hotel is a stones throw away from where we are staying, have a look for B&B's near lanark if you fancy or you are welcome to join us at the Hostel.

Less than a week now!

I'm really sorry I have an admission to make, I've just cleaned my bike. I didn't want to, but was made a bit guilty of it being dirty by a couple of people. It didn't look that bad to me, sure a bit of dirt. It must have been a bit mucky, I'm now filthy and the cleaning stuff is having a soak to to and get clean.
I just hope this isn't an omen and excuse for mother nature to try and get it dirty again this weekend.

Steve, I cleaned mine 4 weeks ago, not used it since ( cover over it ) but it's still gunna rain somewhere, at some point for "X " amount of time as it's Scotland.

Be covered in flies if there's no rain getting up there.

Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow. Hope you all have enjoyable rides to New Lanark.

Yeah - safe trip everyone.

We've got a family birthday tomorrow (Gill's dads 70th) so we'll be heading over sometime Saturday morning. Try and get over for early Saturday morning before you all leave, so we can drop stuff off. Might depend on when you're starting on Saturday though, feel free to shout out Ross.

Safe ride, hopefully missing the rain. Looks like I may dodge it if I leave at 7:30 (yawn) will see how I feel in the morning.
