Traffic Alert (White Merc Estate ??04 ???) EDINBURGH

It wasn't a Sx04 XXX plate (i.e registered in Scotland) but it had lots of blue and red flashy lights on it and had pulled a ned mobile when I passed on Tuesday evening. Heading West just before the M8 junction on the A71.

Guess they must have swapped with another force.....04 plate though (private or a 5 yr old traffic car)?????
