Ladies biker gear
Karen's existing biking gear is my old man's stuff from Aldi, and she wants to look like a girl on the back of the bike.
So today we went to have a look at the stuff in local bike shop KC bikes in Carlisle. Karen is a size 14 up top and couldn't fasten any of the extra large ladies jackets up. Prompting her to have a massive rant at the poor sales guy.
Question is where does a normal sized girl go to get her biking gear?
My son suggested googling bustybikers.com however not sure that's the way to go!
Any suggestions ladies or even gents?
Cheers
Billy

Re: Ladies biker gear
Lady bikers gear is a nightmare! I rant on about it all the time.
The sizing bears no resemblance to your normal dress size and they have to be tried on.
I find Richa fits me well (go up 1-2 sizes tho!)
And I also love Ixon, there's lots of it on ebay.
The jacket I now have is a kawasaki one and fits great, I can't normally wear mens stuff tho as they don't allow for boobs!

I gave up, being 'bigger than the average bear' and of fat arse and wobbly bits, and got a set of leathers made up by Scott Leathers. As far as textiles are concerned, I used to go for just men's stuff out of Hein Gericke, but as they are no more, I'll be in the same boat as Karen when I have to replace them in years to come
Ellie is right, it's a complete nightmare, and the sizing is a joke! Whatever size Karen is, she'll have to go for bigger bike gear, otherwise it'll not do up, or she'll not be able to move properly once it is done up lol! Good luck in your search, hope she gets something sorted soon xx

Re: Ladies biker gear
I'm dreading having to get Pam new gear, her textiles are supposed to be waterproof but only seem to be if it doesn't rain. I got her some leathers to start her off, were OK for a short, but she couldn't get on with them. Her textiles seem way too big to me, seems the designers aren't getting it right a lot of the time for ladies.
There was a Lady Biker shop in Dorking, I only noticed it when they put up the closing down sale signs However they have gone the online / mail order route. Might be of help to get an idea of what's available and get their advice

The wifes never tried the womans gear but I did buy some of there textile gear for work 2 years ago It gets damp around your backside in thunder rain and a little sticky if I wear just a tee shirt, but it's not bad for its price . The wife ended up with mens RST leathers that fit were it touches.

Ah, so it's not just Pam's then, she has Bikers Gear and has the same problem, no amount of Nixwax waterproofing has helped.
