Big day yesterday...
- Final lesson first thing
- Passed Mod 2 around midday
- Collected my new Cat early afternoon.
- Sorted insurance and tax and just enough time for a wee ride before the rain came on.
Here she is.
Wish I didn't have to be at work today...

Re: Big day yesterday...
Thanks, I do respect it. It's a lovely bike, and a very capable machine.
I'm neither lovely, nor capable (as a rider) though, so I probably ride like a granny.
It's still brilliant fun though!

You even cut off your top half in the photo you posted!
Look don't worry. Remember a full face helmet covers a multitude of sins and once you've got your gran into the biker gear we won't be able to tell you apart!
Joking apart, you should be feeling on top of the world.
Congratulations on passing. Just go out and enjoy riding the bike. It doesn't matter how slowly you ride, just build up the experience. After all, what's more embarrassing going round the corner slowly or taking it too quick and coming off? Everyone felt the same when they started riding. Passing the test has got you over the legal hurdle to be able to start to ride and build up your skill. It takes time. If you don't feel comfortable with the way you're riding then slow down, re-assess what you're doing and try again. most of all enjoy yourself.
Oh, and post up some pics of you out and about.

Re: Big day yesterday...
Good on ya as well and just tell the Mrs that its a midlife crisis your having so that's why done ya test and got a good bike.
Like Greencat says, be comfortable with your riding. No medals for going out of your comfort zone so early in your biking life and don't let peer pressure get to you if out with other bikers.
Best way to learn though is being out with other bikers as you'll pick up lots of tips on riding techniques.

No need - she passed her test just before I did. She didn't get anything as nice as a cat though, just a GSX650F (at least one of us can see in the dark).

Re: Big day yesterday...
Not with the cat's headlight you won't. Fit a Xeon bulb to make it better.
There's a few of us on here who are biking couples, (when we get chance too)
