New owner from rossendale, Lancashire
Hello everyone.
Just got myself a thundercat and thought it was time to join up and say hello.
It isn't appearing until Thursday so no pictures as yet but it's the blue and white scheme which I think looks the dogs danglies.
First job will be t remove the R6 sticker off its arse.........why!!!
Have wanted one of these for years but I have very short legs so anything over 780mm seat height was a problem but now I have technique and a bit of experience I can just manage. I'll wear stilettos if I have to
Pics will follow probably next weekend. Doubt it will be on the road until the weather improves though but gives me time to do some tinkering. Clutch has no adjustment left, needs all it's fluids changing. It hasn't done more than 500 miles in 5 years and I doubt anything has been changed in that time although all fluids were clean enough so I'm not too worried. Quite happy to take things apart anyway.
Has a Beowulf can on it which sounds amazing.
In summer it will be whizzing me up to preston on a daily basis to work which should make the commute rather more exciting methinks.
So hello everyone!
Mike

Hi Mike!
Short legs & stilettos, you'll fit in well round here and that's just the fellas!
Make yourself at home, plenty of knowledge to be had here

Re: New owner from rossendale, Lancashire
Greetings Mike, and welcome from a fellow north westener.
I'll possibly see you around Preston at some point, as that's my daily commute on the t'cat too!
The second you get your new ride, get a piccy up on here

Re: New owner from rossendale, Lancashire
Thanks for all the welcomes, no doubt I will be seeing some of you round soon. The bike has arrived now, pictures tomorrow!
Does lowering it not balls up the ride at all? May look into it as it is a bit of a stretch to the ground currently...

Re: New owner from rossendale, Lancashire
As long as it's done correctly it shouldn't make any difference to the handling of the bike , some say lowering it can improve the turn in due to the lowered centre of gravity. If you're not up to the task yourself Kais Suspension in Atherton are fantastic and will do the job no problem
