New Rider
Hi all,
Passed my bike test end of last year then inherited a VF400F which I gave up with in the end (project bike) as I just didnt have the spare time for it...or a garage to do the work in.
So I went and got myself a Thundercat the other week it's by no means perfect but im on a budget so idm. I'm more of a car person tbh but I enjoy riding around just as much.
On a side note, I currently need to get hold of some 33bhp restrictors for this - any suggestions as to where to buy? (and no I will not pay FI £200+ for basically 4 washers and a bit of paper)
Thanks

Re: New Rider
Tried ebay, could only find one which was £55 from someone who looks like they make them for loads of bikes as a little business.

Re: New Rider
I think you'll need the 'piece of paper' in case you get pulled, need to claim insurance etc etc.
I know the new restriction laws have changed recently

Re: New Rider
Already spoken to my insurance company and they don't need the paper as they say its a condition of my licence anyway.
I know there's a lot of heat surrounding what's legal and not with the restriction but my understanding is as long as its 33bhp or less then its legal. The certificate is just to wave around at anyone who wants to see it.
I was one of the last ones to do my licence on 33bhp rules so the new rules don't effect me. Now I think the rules are a 125 until 19 then 47bhp till 24 then unrestricted
My restriction ends sometime next year anyway (cant wait for that).
If someone knows the dimensions I have no problem in making them myself to save some cash.
Yes it was a bit loose in the photo - I've sorted that now

Re: New Rider
It's a great bike restricted, I rode one for a while.
This is an interesting read...

Re: New Rider
Hi and Welcome
As I understand it the certificate isn't worth the paper it's printed on, just a way for companies to sell a piece of paper for £20 which is pretty good business if you ask me
