You'll hear me coming now
Following several comments after BC and a recent trip to Assen (including "have you started it yet" and "is it electric" a priority was to get a more tuneful end can for the blade, and here it is before and after, the crappy old Remus has been replaced.
It looked okay but it was too quiet, far too quiet, other road users didn't know I was there which I believe is a safety issue especially when they always claim they don't see us bikers, they should at least be able to hear us.
Got this from MTC in Burscough, Lancashire, British made from quality materials (I know, I supply em) fantastic service and I got a decent deal. Ordered on a Monday, made to order and it was collected on Tuesday morning, fitted Wednesday and couldn't be happier, the sound with the baffle in or out is amazing and the quality of finish is outstanding. I went for the black powdercoated stainless steel single outlet. As well as being a lot louder (not uncomfortably however) the over run is amazing, she also feels a little perkier now, think the old can was choking her a bit.
They make cans for most bikes in stainless steel, titanium and carbon, well worth a look I you're in the market as they come with a lifetime guarantee. Hopefully catch up with some of you soon and you can decide if its better than the old one. I'm over the moon though!!

Re: You'll hear me coming now
Credit were it's due, fitted a MTC Black can to the Cat 7 years ago, sounds nice but not to loud (76dB at tick over) its gone a little dull in one place were I dropped some strong chemical on it and the badge has faded but it's done 82000 miles through some bad winters. Fitted a chrome one to the wife's Fazer 600 sounds better than the Cat but it's a shorter can and it makes 78dB . That's not loud by the way, as the dog snores at 77dB.

Re: You'll hear me coming now
Mine idles at 85, it'll still pass the Caldwell limit of 105 at 5000rpm (just)!! A mate has just had his re-sleeved by them following an off and they charged him £25 plus postage, don't know if that's of any interest to you.

Re: You'll hear me coming now
The bike needs a few mechanical repairs before I do any cosmetic ones, but it does fit in with the rest of the bike well, the only thing that I don't like is reusing the foot rest mounting bolt, a nice stainless flange headed allen bolt would finish the exhaust off just right . Must get round to fitting mine

Is that with or without the baffles ?
Re: You'll hear me coming now
With out baffles , the loud end I can live with, it's the silent, deadly end that I worry about
