Bravepill6 (Euan) recovering in hospital.

My good friend Euan (& suffering pillion) had a nasty accident on Sunday.
I won't go into details but faulty equipment lead to a high pressure explosion injuring his leg.
Fortunately he made his way to hospital and they operated on a damaged artery.
Had this not been successful he could have been looking at amputation.
It all went well and he is getting better in hospital.

Went from very unlucky back to very lucky that day.

I'm so glad he is ok and back on the mend.

I know a lot of you guys know Euan so thought you should know.
Please post a message in here and I'll make sure he reads them.

I know Euan does the same job as me & I was a bit shocked to hear what happened & would put it down to the heat possibly causing the issue, wish him well from us please Ross & it's a lesson we must all learn from, I'd be interested in more details when possible as prevention is the key here for us in the same trade. Sounds like he was very lucky

Holy S**t! Having worked with high pressure hoses and equipment I can only imagine what a lucky escape he's had! Get well soon Euan, we're both sending best wishes your way and hoping you have a speedy recovery.

Had seen on FB that you mentioned how lucky you were, I am pleased to hear that in-spite of how as bad as it is, it isn't any worse.

I wish you a very speedy recovery.
Don't teally understand what's happened (don't enlighten me I'm squeamish!) but it sounds like it could have been a lot worse. I'm so glad it wasn't.
Make sure you get Ross running around after you :-)
Take it easy and get back to fitness soon.

Euan, they say bad shit always happens to the good guys...so unfortunately they got that one right!!!!!Hope you get better real soon and will be back to your usual self in time for Big Mac.....

Holy sh*t Euan , glad to hear you're doing well and recovering..... sounds just awful and must have been a hell of a fright!  So good to hear you've been fixed up  , doesn't bear thinking about what might have happened
 
Hope you recover quickly enough for BM (just remember to take it easy and make sure those nurses are pampering you ), really looking forward to catching up with you again.
 
I think you should ask DBD for a run in his new car, it's bound to aid your recovery

Crap news, hope you get better really quickly and are back to playing cameraman on the back of rosco's bike very soon !!!

A big thanks to everyone for your kind words..........

I am now back at home and being looked after very well by my very own Intensive Care Nursing sister ( My Wife Carrie )

It was a very serious accident but on the positive side I was also very very lucky.

The skills of the surgeon and the aftercare I received in hospital means that I still have two healthy legs and not one. 

Friends and family have rallied round and made me feel incredibly lucky to have them and immensely humbled by   the whole unfortunate experience.  

It might take my a while but I will be getting my leg over again probably later in the year.
