Thanks all the same for the thoughts, . . . Everyone/Anyone.robertcains wrote:If I had pillion pegs on the bike.... Oh yeah & pillion insurance..... Oh & longer legs0ldcat wrote: Anyway, who'd have me on the pillion
But as I said (not fishing), who'd want a rider on the back what aint been pillion for . . koff koff !! years (Aldi don't do pillions . . . but if they did ). I'm really not sure I'd be up to a whole days riding anyway, thus potentially spoiling another riders enjoyment, and lastly (but not leastly), you'd probably be hoisting me on and off the bike like ye olde knights of old with some kind of an A framed winch & pulley system.

Thanks for your thoughts anyhow

Re: Sooooo excited for BC!!
Glad I've managed to get the full weekend in instead of just the ride, really looking forward to getting together with everyone again and meeting some new faces as well.
Really sorry you can't make it Tel, I'll get that tenner to you one way or the other, to all the 1st timers, as Paul said you will absolutely love this ride out, the roads are fantastic, as are the people, it all makes for a brilliant weekend, Dave I hope you make it and drag Ross along for the ride and Ellie have you booked the weather?

Re: Sooooo excited for BC!!
There's a few of us heading in the same direction for some of the route home after BC.
The A466 Monmouth - Chepstow road was a favourite last year and has been a must on my routes when in the area. Possibly others may wish to join in. Some lovely twisties, possibly driveways and allotments (only kidding, unless my SatNav develops a sense of humour), good scenery and not too much 'Motorway'
for a Google Maps route which is more or less what I plan to do on my way home (no, I don't live in a petrol station got the wrong kind of bike for that ) - click on page two if you want to see the purple line from Chippenham to Woking (don't all fit on a page )
Meet up outside the Boars Head on Sunday around 9am

Re: Sooooo excited for BC!!
Not my on my route John. Hopefully we won't see any bears scaring kids.
You probably remember the video I posted after last year's BC - a link to it on page 1 of this thread. Is a good bit of road as long as the Twenty's Plenty and the caravan club's haven't staged outings

I couldn't partake last year as my stomach was still too sensitive from being kept up late.
So if we stop there this year, you distract the Bear and I'll grab the Ice Cream.

Depending on how I'm feeling on the morning, I might join you for that, maybe as far as Newbury. Looks good.

Re: Sooooo excited for BC!!
Hmm.
If we lose the horse, the bloke and the clothes, I can see a top quality product there.

If it's ok I'll travel down as far as the m482 (near severn bridge i think) with you guys.as I don't have a sat nav, from there I shouldn't get too lost getting home.

Re: Sooooo excited for BC!!
That'll be fine Stu. If you not tired of good roads maybe turn off onto the A48 and either join the M4 or stay on it and skirt Cardiff.
If the Severn is closed, like it was last year we tried to use it, we'll be doing some of that route to get to the M4 and the second Severn.
