Surf and Turf Sign Up - 25th/26th Sept

Hi Everyone,

Dates changed a wee bit after a bit of discussion.
Can we please have a show of virtual hands for Surf and Turf 2009? Last weekend in September is going to be the best option for getting some really nice digs.

We are looking to stay at [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] which is a lovely wee pub with good food, up to 15 real ales and nearly 300 single malts!!! If we get enough interest the landlady has agreed to do us a deal for £20pppn B&B.

Thought I'd put the feelers out nice and early so folks can make space in the dairy.
We'll be staying at the pub on the Fri and Sat nights, with the main rideout on Saturday. A few of us who don't live too far away will probably be heading out on Fri and Sun too, giving us one full day riding in the Lake District (Fri) and one full day exploring the Yorkshire Dales (Sat) with a wee run out to Devil's Bridge/Hartside Top Cafe (Sun) to relieve the inevitable hangovers before riding home.
I couldn't attend last year (I was on the naughty step at home) but the format will be pretty similar, unfortunately without the 'entertainment' of the Meatloaf impersonator .

Anyway, something like this would be handy;

No Suzie, spoke to Greencat to make sure and he's organising ToL for another weekend this year.
I think he'll be putting the details up sometime soon.

As I can't make ToL (Chris always seems to pick the weekend I've got other things planned), I'm going to make an effort to get down to SnT instead. But I can't promise.

I've provisionally booked all the accomodation for Surf & Turf.

I've told the Landlady I'll confirm numbers/Doubles/Twins etc at a later date.
There are 12 rooms at the inn so lets fill it up!

Nothing needed at the minute, I'll confirm numbers and everthing with the landlady nearer the time.
Going to give her a call first weekend in August so she has plenty notice so anyone who hasn't signed up but fancies it, get your name down.

As if anybody needs more encouragement, I've done a provisional route for Sat which will hopefully include lunch and a tour round the Black Sheep Brewery in Masham.

I told the landlay I'd be back in touch by beggining of Aug to confirm numbers and rooms required.
John (from SnT & BM last year) and Tim will be coming too. As will FJR Terry.
My lovely lady is as yet undecided, but I could be + 1.
