Hi everyone.
Well my luck has run out and my back decided that riding a sports bike is not any more :(
I do not want to get rid of the cat so I'm looking at a raised/ straight bar conversion, can anyone point me in the right direction?
I'm not scared of modified parts as you will know from my build thread. Any help would be great. I was thinking of putting fazer stuff on, will this fit and is there any issues I need to know about etc...
Thanks
Dave Wink

This has been done a couple of times in here; try the search.

IIRC to go the Fazer route you'd need to swap the whole front end (yokes, forks etc) and I'm not even sure the steering stem is the same on the Fazer as on the Cat. Someone did make some spacers to lift the existing clip-ons, but you'll need to make sure it clears the fairing (as well as the obvious lengthening of cables and hoses).

Here's one. The link doesn't work any more and looking at the polo.de website they don't seem to do it for the Cat any more.

Not sure I have quite got my head around how they fit yet, and also not sure if it will give you the amount of rise that is needed, but these might be a quick option:

Cool...thanks for the good feedback on the bar risers. Have you found any bad side affects from fitting them ??? I have also found M&P do a top yoke conversion to fit standard or renthal type bars but they may cause clearance problems with the fairing.
