Re: Cancel your insurance when not needed.....
Well every day is a school day, I had no idea this was the case.
I only hope this geezer has the option of going to crown court to plead his case as I dont think a jury would find him guilty of anything apart from trying to save a few bucks on his renewal.
Otherwise looks like he will be selling everything to his wifey pretty sharpish.
Always knew insurance companies should all wear masks the robbing gits, but this takes the pish.
This one law that surely needs changing.
I'd be writing to MAG, my MP, the insurance ombisman and anyone else that will listen.

Poor bloke, agree totally with STEVEMCC how do insurance companies keep getting away with things like this. They have all the law to protect themselves but nothing to protect there customers.

OMG! Glad I bloody read this, poor guy.
I kept my insurance running on a bike I sold for about 5 months as I couldn't cancel it! Although I knew the person I sold it too and they kept it off the road. But holy S**t that is a scary article, I sincerely hope the insurance company do not go after this bloke for the money!
