New bike. Finally
Hi All.
This is my new Cat I picked up on Saturday. Its different to the one I thought I was getting (Yellow and Silver) Dealer started to mess me around so I got my deposit back and went looking again. only took me 3 hours to find this one.
She is a 1998 "S" with only 7500 km which is only just over 4500 miles A couple of small marks but good condition over all. Was imported by the original owner and I am the only 3rd owner. Is very standard at the moment. But I have a shopping list for next year
Looking forward to joining you all out for rides next year. Once I build my confidence up after 15 years off bikes.
Regards,
Rich

Re: New bike. Finally
Rich,
It was building on the ride from Worcester to Poole. In two heavy rain storms and a very illegal front tyre for 2/3rds of the journey

Looks in good condition. You did the right thing going with the B&Q colours, they really are the best (disclaimer: unless you own a red one, or blue one, or black one, or silver one....), but we B&Qers know best
The 'cat is a great bike if you're coming back to biking. Enjoy!

I've got a blue one which everyone knows is the fastest colour but I do still like the b&q schemeThunderG wrote:(disclaimer: unless you own a red one, or blue one, or black one, or silver one....), but we B&Qers know

It's a 'cat....they're all great. It's just that the B&Q ones are greater! :lol3:

Re: New bike. Finally
Nice bike in the slighter slower colour scheme. Don't tinker with it too much on such an original low miles bike, they are great as they are, if a little bouncy in the bends. I manage to hussle mine along ok even with Mrs Radar on the pillion perch and I have never even altered my suspension settings in 12 years of ownership

Wouldn't need to if you got heavier over the 12 years (not suggesting anything)
Nice bike
